The combined pts, rebs, asts seems to be the key stat. I believe I read that 26 of the last 27 ROY winners lead in that stat. As of today, it stands:
1. Wiggins - combined PRA = 1573 or 22.15/game
2. Payton - combined PRA = 1403 or 19.22/game
3. Noel - combined PRA = 1306 or 19.20/game
4. Mirotic - combined PRA = 1162 or 15.92/game
People need to realize that ROY is voted on by sportswriters from US AND Canada. 95% of the sportswriters don't know jack about advanced stats and they don't care about defense. I'm not saying that is right but that is the system.
