Not cool.
About Lin and Clarkson being the first Asian American backcourt in the NBA.

Some of yall ni@@as said Chinese are the worst?........*cough* ... Sofa...*cough*......lol...... Sure some of my people could be , but just like every race there be some bad apples and some good apples.

Just gotta point out in my travels I think that some Fillipinos and some Koreans are the worse too. Too much damn pride. I had some old Fillipino dude tell me the other day of course once he found out that I wasn't fillipino I can't like Manny PacMan because I'm not flip  lolololol

An this past weekend at some brand new rec center gym in Korea town DTLA I was destroying everyone on site in a couple full court pickup games. These korean gangsters tatted up from head to toe where giving props but once they found out I wasn't Korean they acted real salty. :nonono:

Haters gone hate

It's been an interesting, rough couple weeks

I play games but on my phone. My days of spend $1000 of dollars on computer and console games was over a long time ago. I found happiness more in books and learning new things than wasting away with video games.

Just think of it this way, when you are old, will you remember the people and the experiences you had or the games you played?

If I had the choice to either relive one of my sexual experiences or get to replay God of War 3 for the first time once again, I'd choose God of War 3.

yeah i'm with hermes on this. i have a lot of good memories linked to video games and have made a few friends online and IRL based off of them. gotten a lot easier to maintain friendships this way with VoIP and multi-player becoming standard.

i enjoy books, but prefer fiction (political satire and sci-fi being my favorites). been busting through christopher buckley's catalog after re-watching thank you for smoking. boomsday, little green men and florence of arabia (the last two finished in the past 3 days) are where i'm at. the only other book i want to read of his is the one on the first lady. next up though is a recent book called "Horrorstor". not sure waht it's about, but something sci-fi like taking placing in a cleveland ikea store haha.

going to a charity driven happy hour in a few weeks that wanted books as admission (bars called the Library, books go to middle schools in the area). bought two of my child hood favorites: Bud, Not Buddy and Watsons Go to Birmingham, 1963

Are you willingly taking a break? I can't imagine you not finding a new gig for more than a couple weeks.

i did for a week or two, had to sober to pee in a cup, but now it's starting to roll. this'll be the end of 2-3 weeks seriously looking and outside the first where it's putting myself out there, i've been setting up interviews and doing the hr phone screens since.

had an offer on a job to start monday, but it was consulting in cleveland for the next few months (and likely continuing on in cleveland or boston or somewhere else) and i have this interview lined up tuesday i really want to go to (take the job over the consulting gig) so that other positions on hold. problem is myself and 4-5 candidates with 5-7 years experience in the same thing were all let go from my company at the same time. so the first 5 positions that i went for i got out experienced on. we had top notch people at my old company, truly. engineering didn't cause it to fail, if anything it propped it up a few years longer than it should have before getting the wake up call they're currently getting. should have another interviewed scheduled end of next week when the hiring manager gets back in town too.

i'm also being picky - you won't find me applying to the big companies. can't stand bureaucracy. had recruiters trying to hook me up with "traditional" engineering jobs outside the biomed field and i turned those down b/c i want to stay in my lane for a minute yet.

i'm tired of not working, but i'm not settling. if i wanted to i could go back and get a research job at the university with next to no resistance. i doubt my phd placement offers from when i ended my undergrad would all be off the table either. i have my vision, want to stick to it. this next job will fulfill either my #2 or #3 or both of my list of 3 experiences i wanted (already have #1 covered in spades) and then hopefully i'll be in the position i want to be in to evaluate what's next. i'm excited personally.

Also been putting a lot of time into a philanthropy group i work with, set up one great project, working on another with the state park system. did a web design and some coding that'll hopefully be up and running soon. checking **** off my personal list.

Sounds good and I kind of remember you telling me that staying in Pittsburgh is important for you. Personally I wouldn't be worried about it as long as you are getting interview calls because it tells you that your skillset is in demand and will stay so for a good period of time.

If I'm not wrong, I recall you are on the research side of Biomed engineering. Usually research teams tend to have far less bureaucracy than traditional engineering teams even at big companies so try to keep an open mind. At worst you'll be visiting a new facility and see how things are set up so don't be rejecting interviews completely.
