We had just won five in a row and were playing some of our best basketball of the year......

......and then Liver_Pooty decided he wanted to make a game thread against the Washington Wizards.

Lost seven of nine since.

Here's hoping this game thread appeases the basketball gods and we can regain our lost mojo. :D

What if we win like 10 of the next 12 and get the 6th seed? I wouldn't be surprised if we won or lost 10 of the next 12. Nothing makes sense with this team. Al's probably going to get 5 blocks despite not jumping a single time all game and we'll win on a Hendo game winner in this one. Why not?

True, but lately there has just been something off. It seems like they aren't really playing with any fire at all. As well as Lopez was playing yesterday, the Nets were pretty ho-hum for most of the game, but we still didn't take advantage. It's almost like we aren't really interested in making the playoffs. I wouldn't go as far as saying this team has given up, but it certainly looks like that at times lately. There's just no sense of urgency, no real drive there.

If we get back to letting our defense dictate our energy and intensity we could win 10 out of our next 12. It's really not rocket science. Clifford keep throwing out lineups expecting to outscore teams and we're not built like that, that's how we're losing.

I've never seen a game where two fanbases are so eager to see their coaches dismissed lol

Cliff throws out lineups that are purely situational without so much as daydreaming the situations that they would be best for. I fully expect Brian Roberts to be guarding Wall while Maxiel and Marvin Williams take on Gortat and Nene at the same time.

Then he'll throw out insta-logjam "scoring" rotations where Lance, Henderson, and MKG all wait for Cody to pass them the ball so they can drive into traffic, shoot a fadeaway after dribbling around some, or simply throw the ball away.

Washington has quit on their coach. If we lose this game, then just pack it up for the season and i'll start making the draft pick signatures.

I hate that our coach has no idea how to adjust to this stuff. He will just slide players into spots and tell them to try to do what the missing guys did. Why coach to your team when you can just coach the same way no matter who is there.

Let Biz start. Those days when Al and Lance were out and Biz was starting were magical, we were winning, Biz was a defensive presence , and Walker was getting to the rim at will averaging close to 30. Not to mention it was actually fun to watch.

Wall didn't see MKG coming...and then of course Gortat gets a wide open layup from the rebound
