2nd seed is doable if you ask me.

If you take a look at Memphis's schedule, it's tough down the stretch, plus they have to play use one more time in Los Angeles.

3rd seed definitely easier, but the 2nd seed is doable.

Memphis is already at 49 wins with 12 games left. 6-6 puts them at 55 wins. I'm not sure I can find 6 losses for them. I could see 8-4 (57 wins). I could see 4 loses from these games, Cleveland, Golden State, @San Antonio, @Utah, @Clippers, @Golden State.

Knicks, Kings, Thunder, Wizards, Pelicans, Pacers, all at home, I see no reason they lose.

Clippers are at 46 wins with 11 games left. To get to 57 wins, Clippers need to go 11-0. I can see 9-2 or 10-1. 11-0 isn't impossible, but I wouldn't count on it. So Clippers could do 55 wins. I don't see Memphis suddenly going .500 in those above games, and if Clippers tie Memphis at 57 wins, it would mean they beat Memphis, and are tied 2-2, but Memphis as the division winner gets the tie breaker.

an even 3 behind Memphis.
both with 10 to play and a head to head at Staples.

Memphis got trampled tonight by the Cavs.

Time for people to stop being scared of that team.

Not scared. Just don't know if we will catch them with so few games left. Our schedule is pretty easy though and if we win the h2h game v Mem we can get there.

I actually like the matchup vs Memphis, not scared of them. They are a good team, but I don't think they have anything special matchup wise. I'd like to get #3 so that Memphis if they win is the 2nd round opponent.

That said, with 10 games left, 3 games is a huge deal. Clippers go 8-2 and are 55-27. Memphis would need to go 5-5 to only win 55 games also, and being a division winner, they win anyways, so 8-2 Clippers need Memphis to go 4-6.

5-5 isn't likely to happen, something like 6-4 or 7-3 is likely. Clippers need to beat Memphis' record, so Clippers would need 10-0 to beat 56 (6-4) and can't beat 57 (7-3) as 57 wins is the Clippers max.

Haha, didn't say it wouldn't be close, but 2nd seed is Memphis' to lose at this moment.

Clippers have to get a game ahead because of the whole division issue. 9 games left each, Clippers can max at 57 wins if they don't lose. That's not going to be easy. Even 8-1 makes it a situation where Memphis just needs 6-3. and 7-2 makes Memphis only need 5-4, so if they can't get 5 or 6 wins from Sacramento, Washington, OKC, New Orleans, Utah, Indiana and not losing all their games to the other top Western teams, then they don't deserve to be 2nd.

I'll take it though, but still skeptical.

Houston is actually looking like they want that too. 49 wins, 10 games left, won 3 in a row. 7-3 puts them at 56 wins. They have Wizards, Raptors, Kings, Mavs, Thunder, Spurs x2, Pelicans, Hornets, Jazz. Going to be interesting.
