I say no but he can be a star like a Dwight Howard lite with better rebounding. putting up 16-17ppg 14+reb on decent efficiency

Completely agreed.

I don't see him being a superstar, maybe a star in the league that is a better product than Deandre Jordan. I don't think Dre can ever touch prime Dwight who carried that ORL team with defense (3x DPOY) and efficient offensively. I'll take Howard lite though.

Nope. He doesn't have the burning desire to be a great.

I would be shocked and pleasantly surprised if Dre became a superstar. I think he will become a better version of Deandre Jordan- a great piece but not someone to build your entire team around.

I believe he will become a 20ppg 15board 2-3 blocks 1 steal at age 23-24, that is superstar.

Ifs hes surrounded by shooters,I could see this coming true.Alot of people forget that in high school,he wasant just a post player but could hit shots ,his form looks good and once he matures into a man and has a few seasons more under his belt,we could really see a different dre.If he only becomes a better version of jordan,I could still see him avg 20ppg/12rbs/2 blks.

Yea, I liked his shot form that I seen in his college highlight. I'm not sure if he will ever try/start shooting them. I always thought Moose could/would develop a mid-range, but he never shoots them enough to dvelop it, it seems he's scared or something, I don't think Dre would be. but he can get frustrated at times

All star yes. Superstar no.

Of course, there's probably about 6 guys in the league I'd consider superstars, so that still sets the ceiling fairly high.

I think he can be an all nba 1st Center and many allstars and defensive player of the year but there is only a few guys I would call a superstar in this league

Guys that I consider superstars: Durant, Westbrook, LeBron, Davis, Curry, Harden, Cousins, LMA

MVP-candidate level players. (Not so much Cousins, but that's because his supporting cast and FO isn't very good). If those guys stay healthy(other than Lebron who's a lock), they're HoF bound. To be completely honest I really have no idea if Dre will reach that level...his FT shooting limits his ability to close out games, and his defense isn't where I thought it would be at the end of year 3. Other than maybe Big Ben, I can't think of any superstar level big man that wasn't already an all star level player by year 3. Dwight put up 18/12/2 with great defense in year 3, and he came straight out of high school so he didn't have a year of college seasoning. KG was already a 19/10/4/2/2 guy with great defense. Duncan was a beast from the get go. I guess you could point to LMA, who only really elevated his game due to an increase in role after Roy's injuries, who was a better player at that time and still would be if he was still around.

It's definitely possible, but he's got plenty of work to do on both ends of the floor to get there.

I don't think he'll ever be a top ten player in the league -- too many weaknesses in his game. He'll fix some of them and continue to get better in some ways, though, and he'll probably be a top twenty player, which is a "star".

18/13/2.5 with a better defensive IQ is plenty good to be a championship level center.

This

You can give the ball to a superstar and they can get their own points on their own. Drummond can't, alot or most of his points come from his teammates drawing the attention and alley opps and rebound tip in's and etc.

I hope Drummond can become the Dwight Howard of ORL but Drummond's defense needs to improve alot to become that, lucky for us he's still young, so he still has time to improve.

Watching him play the last three years, the knock on him coming out questioning his desire/motor, and his demeanor/personality of sulking when he was asked to do to much offensively at the beginning of the season - he was happier with the Coach K Team USA role as 5th option put back and rebound guy.

He's probably the third banana on a legitimate contender unless his offensive game blossoms and he stops being a bottom of the barrel, completely pathetic free throw shooter. Superstar's win close games. Bad free throw shooters are a liability at the end of close games. It's a paradox.

That's not a paradox.
