As it is it looks there's more than just smoke behind rumors that Jackson actually thinks Bargnani can work in the Triangle. Jackson could have waived him just like he did with Stoudemire and he didn't. Jackson has said more good things about Bargnani than he ever has about Stoudemire...or any other Knick not named Anthony to be quite honest. The Knicks aren't going to waive him now especially considering that he's playing well in the Triangle no matter how much Knick fans may hate him. The chances of Bargnani having a greater future with the Knicks in the near future than anyone that they may be able to add with 10 day contracts is significant in favor of Bargnani.

Smith? There's really no more justification to waive Smith than there is to waive Amundson or Lance Thomas or Acy. They're all what they are...journeyman front court players that, if you have to rely on to win, it means you are in trouble. Smith being the choice to stay over the others resides to some degree to the size of his contract compared to the rest of the guys. Jackson has shown that squeezing every million matters in his actions.

Ledo I didn't quite get from the start. And since, unlike Smith who has a $3 million guaranteed contract, can simply be let go immediately or naturally be let go in a week when his 10 day expires so I'm game for that.

We aren't getting Draymond Green. Stop adding him to line ups its a waste of everyone's time.

iT doesn't matter who we cut in terms of cash--but we should make changes.

If we can stick with our current Knicks--if Phil Jackson is committed to many of these guys like he said he was--it's just another wrong move. We cant accept played going 1-16 over 5 games-- or every other game going 2-7 like Smith. We need reasonable consistency--within reason and for guys to move the ball better. Thats what surprises me about picking up Ledo. Hes not a ball mover hes not in shape hes low IQ and plays poor D--there are D league players with better backrounds for us. The more darst we throw--the higher the chance one stinks--we have 11 NBA games left--we already know what we have--time to change the fleet and look at a finding players who can give a higher standard of play.

Think guys like Vander Blue (very similar to Gallo, with a better handle), Jamal Franklin... have more complete games than Ledo, who is really out of shape... but at this point in the year it doesn't matter. The same with Willie Reed, who is a very aggressive defender and great rebounder, will actually be our best rebounder if he was here. Could release Q.Acy but again at this point it doesn't matter. Btw Larkin needs to wake the fuc up... kid is soft as butter, plays scared.

Early
Barg
Amundson
Blue
Gallo

Doesn't Matter now.....

he's right about that.. I think there's no chance that we're getting butler, green or leonard. heck... even LMA and gasol are more realistic.

Well in IMO, its going to come down to money... offered for Green services....forget about Butler and Leonard (we have no chance with those two)...

GSW owners are not fans of the luxury tax and they have DLee and (team option) MSeights on the books. So someone has to go. GSW has to make a decision. I believe we have a chance but it comes down too.. does PMFJB want him and how much. I don't want to give him the Max. or near it (no more than 13 per). I believe GSW would give it to him if they can trade/stretch DLee and/or don't pickup MSeights option. I believe Phil wants bigger fish though... looking at you LMA/Love..

if we are able to pick okafor(would finally be a second scorer after melo) in the draft I would go full defense-roleplayer in free agency, with danny green, demarre carroll and amir johnson (or taj gibson via trade) as my main targets.

if we pick towns -> go after the second scorer in FA with monroe and tobias harris as the top choices.

This is why our franchise has problems. Unrealistic expectations. Why would the Warriors not match their best defender who is a key component of the best team in the NBA? They have stated they will pay the tax. No team is a FAN of the tax thats like saying they aren't a fan of throwing money away. Even if they didn't want to pay the tax they could move Lee, he's actually still good. We need to focus on attainable players like Middleton or Butler. And those guys are still RFAs but more likely to leave if we overpay (you're not getting a RFA without overpaying).

You're actually blaming the franchises woes on the fans? I wont even address that. As far as GS goes....teams say all the time what they WILL be willing to do, and countless amount of times, they dont. there's no lock Draymond stays in GS, none at all.

A. Not blaming the fans. But the FO has the same perspective. Just because were located in NYC that doesn't mean people will be falling over themselves to come play for us. Lakers have that idea too.

B. Obviously. GS could be lieing out their collective asses but they have no reason to. And more importantly we should divert our attention elsewhere. You don't plan for unlikely best case scenarios.

Nobody knows what this front office is actually thinking, we can guess all day, but no one knows what their perspective is at all.

I dont see how you equate going after Draymond as unrealistic yet mention Middleton and Butler. How are they "more likely"?

Actually GS has all the reason to lie and say they'd mach any offer no matter what. They're doing what they can to try to get teams to not offer him a huge/max contract.

Okafor
GREEN
Anthony

Add Shved with Gallo at PG and that would be a lineup i could live with right there.

Butler isn't attainable. The Bulls will match anything that another team offers.
