/edit - i like science fiction, not a huge horror fan but i'll read it (just read Horrorstor). any mystery or thriller thrown in there is fine as is politcial satire. recently i've been reading through michael crichton and christopher buckley which are on the easier read side. not looking for something like cloud atlas at this particular time.

hitchhikers guide to the galaxy

Read the Gunslinger series by Stephen King... Fist 4 books are about the best horror/science fiction/Fantasy you'll read... He rushed the last few books but they're still really good.

You USC guys oughta know T. Coraghessan Boyle... He may be one of the best modern authors and he's a professor there, or at least was. Mostly short stories, but sometimes that's better if you're more a genre person.

the basis of all his books are science fiction but obviously he runs with it and turns it into his own unique brand of black humor and satire - I've never been able to find another author tthat could replicate his style and trust me ive tried.

I actually think Slaughterhouse Five is the best book to start with though.

You could probably do Slaughterhouse Five and Cat's Cradle independently but I think Cat's Cradle is when he introduces his substitutions for religious philosophy with terms like Duprass, Karass etc.

The religious freedom act and NCAA thread on the general is getting really good. I recommend highly.

first 3 seasons are some of the best TV ever made, show went way downhill after that imo. in fairness its really hard to keep a tv show good for that many seasons.

The show dies the season where George Karl comes out.

The whole dynamic with his brother was handled brilliantly. I usually hate the family backstories but this one was done well.

Go figure that people in the police department of Ferguson were exchanging racist emails amongst themselves.
