Better. I was hoping they'd lock him up for more than this season. Good move.

He was. Next year's not-guaranteed. Good stuff, Mitch.

jabari is a nice spot up shooter. Glad we signed him.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

Young is a 6'7" wing who can play SF, I don't think Jabari is a replacement for him other than the volume shooting part.

IDK where we are going with this signing? I must admit I have not seen a alot of jabari brown's games in the NBA, I've read he had couple of good games with us but were those games enough to sign him multi year?
he is 6'5 SG so will this mean he'll be Kobe's back up next year? so we are not going after other SG's like Danny Green or a Wes Matthews next year? or does this mean that for our 2nd 1st rd pick we are not going for a SG/ shooter like RJ hunter in the draft? honestly I hate this signing.

Don't worry. It's only "multi-year" by technicality.
It's the rest of this season AND a non-guaranteed 2015-2016. So essentially it's only next year and he might not even make the team.
Jabari was going to become a free agent this week after his 2nd 10 day contract ran out, so this gives us more time to evaluate.
Realize that as an undrafted rookie his deal is the absolute minimum salary. He can be a nice replacement for Ellington who probably played his way onto a better team. Look at Jabari's stats, the kid has been efficient and essentially is like we got a late 2nd rounder for free.
That leaves us going into to next year with:
Guaranteed young talent
Randle/(maybe) top 5/Houston 1st/Ryan Kelly
Jordan Clarkson (surefire keeper)/Tarik Black/Jabari Brown/Early 2nd/(maybe) Clippers 2nd
It's a lot of cheap contracts, a lot of flexibility, and a lot of youth to pair with Kobe, Nick Young, and maybe Jordan Hill (depending on how the draft and FA goes). These are good moves that don't sacrifice our cap space plan, but also keeps our options open depending on the draft.
Next year will hopefully be our youth revolt.

Biggest benefit of offering him that extra year is to make sure he spends summer league and training camp with us. I heard Clarkson is still expected to play in the summer league along with Randle, Jabari, Black and whoever we pick so I expect it to be a strong team for us this season.

Actually sounds more exciting than our current regular season. Yes, we've hit an all-time low. Might have to renew my league pass.

Summer league is usually free to watch. Don't buy league pass just for it, you don't even get preseason with NBA LP.

Re: Nash Formally Waived / Jabari Brown Resigned
I'm quite thankful I live in LA but back in my days of being in class in the evenings, I used to log onto justintv and luckily someone always had the game playing. Would be sweet if that NBA LP had an archive type of feature like Rolling Stone Mag does, would love to see old footage, even catching a game you missed a few nights ago would be sweet.
2014: Randle / Clarkson
2015: Russell / Nance
2016: Ingram / Zubac
2017: Top 3 Pick?
Fultz, Ball or Bust
2015: Russell / Nance
2016: Ingram / Zubac
2017: Top 3 Pick?
