Vince Carter Interested In Broadcasting, Coaching In Retirement

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Apr 2, 2015 5:29 pm

Vince Carter adapted his game extremely well for when he lost some of his athleticism and remains an effective player at the age of 38.

“You think you’re going to be the star, the go-to guy, forever,” Carter said last week. “But when reality sets in, that’s when it’s a challenge: How do you deal with that?”

Carter would like to work in television when he retires, though he hasn't ruled out coaching.

“Maybe I could come into practice and the coach would let me help out,” he said.

I could maybe see Vince as a Broadcaster for the Raptors or something. Couldn't really see him as a coach

How does a guy who gave up on his team publically convince players to not give up on their team and have them listen?

By replaying his memorable dunk contest success + hype of being "the man" in TO before giving up?

They were. No matter how salty Toronto fans are, he's still a solid contributor to any team.

Did you see him play at all this season? Don't just say things if you have no idea about them.

To me, Vince Carter will always remain the greatest dunker that has ever lived. What he did constantly during his glory days will be hard to repeat for anyone. Today you just see how many of these superstars recycle their same old dunks, what Vince did was original...often I watch those actions on Youtube, its still amazes me....dunk over Dikembe Mutombo for example...
