F u Pascual, 0 minutes for Mario :@
I mean yeah....he did not play good (ok,I admit he was bad) the last 2 games, but is sitting him on the bench the whole game really what he needs right now ?
Just 10 days ago he was one of your best players for a whole month. I don't really know if this is the best way to get him back on track after couple of bad games.

Does he have some serious immaturity issues or something? Seeing as how talented he is and still getting the cold shoulder from what seems like a coach punishing a brat or something

This is one of the issues with prospects playing in the Euro leagues. The coach knows Hezonja is gone for the NBA soon so sometimes things become more about making a stand or doing what it takes to win the game in front of you then about helping Hezonja work through his slump. They aren't invested in him long term so his long term development takes a back seat to their immediate needs.
The feedback I've received from our fans is they understand we are trying to build something great. Good decisions come from having a broad set of options and making tough calls. We will do it unblinkingly. We have to be willing to take smart risks-Hinkie

I'm probably not the first one to make this comparison, but how well do you guys think he compares to Rudy Gay?

way better shooter, sort of reminds me of Gerald Green right now, but once he improves his passing and gets more fluid and deceptive with his handling which he shows potential in, he could be much better than that.

They don't really compare offensively. Rudy's got a great post game. Tougher under the rim. Gets in the paint and gets great elevation and extension on the jumper. Hezonja's not like that. He's more of a poor man's Gallinari.
Defensively, Mario might be similar in the future. Okay straight up. May get schooled, but won't get abused. Not really proactive defenders. Prone to lapses off the ball and with positioning. Rudy gets more blocks thanks to his 7'3 wingspan.
Right now though, Mario is not as good defensively. Players should be able to get him up in the air or leaning the wrong way pretty easily.
Rebounding wise, Rudy has the edge again by a couple of rebounds.

Too bad this video shows only his points because he played atomic defense as well.
Anyhow, here you go -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNoc1RMl4Yo
Also, this might be interesting to see for those who are yet not familiar with this kiddo;

I'm really keen on this kiddo, once again I need to mention my regrets we won't be able to draft him

I doubt that, Jerry had 30% for 3 during his career, this kiddo will surely go over 40%.

Re: Mario Hezonja
His 2 assists are in the highlights video from his last game. The first one is really nice and the second one shows one way how he can use his size advantage over smaller SG.
Only played for 11 minutes. Not really much going on for him. After solid 1 half he got seated on the bench for the rest of the game.
I watched him play - very well on the D. His man did not score at all when he played, he took 2 open 3 point shots and made one of them. Besides that and the 2 assists, he barely saw the ball in the offense and got benched even though he was doing okay.
And yeah he grabbed one rebound.

4/4 against Real Madrid, 3/3 for 2 and 1/1 for 3. Tied the game when Real was leading, Pascual subbed him and lost the game. I'm kinda glad Pascual is being a dick so Mario has no intention of staying in Barcelona.

I think Mario will be another JR Smith, both in athleticism, skill, and attitude.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm worried about.

Why? Tbh, JR is one of the most skilled scorers in the league and also pretty damn athletic...JR's attitude is what made him 'JR'. Not enough IQ and lack of hustle on defense to become top 3 SG in the league. Yes, I believe he could've done that if he had Kobe's/LeBron's etc head instead of his.

Mario is a bit immature and cocky but he definitely has a better motor and work ethic than J.R. does.

He also is taller, probably longer, has a better nba body, more explosive, no way he is more of a headcase, I dont expect peoples shoes to be getting untied by Hezonja lol, better shot, better from the line. He has more potential than Smith had.
