4/3/2015 - DET @ CHI - 7:00 PM CST

Post#1 » by NZB2323 » Fri Apr 3, 2015 3:43 pm

Day of the game and no game thread? Okay.

"You can't let your guard down in this league," coach Tom Thibodeau said after Chicago blew a 19-point lead and was outscored 54-19 in the final 19 minutes of a 107-91 defeat to the Pistons on March 21.

"The loss at this point of the season is something I'm not happy about," said All-Star Pau Gasol, who recorded 14 points and 11 rebounds for his league-leading 49th double-double. "We should be, as we have been, sharper."

I hope that the Bulls come angry and determined in this game.

For old time's sake:

They have got to beat this **** team. Just like Charlotte, this is a revenge game. They've kicked their ass the last two times, it's time to put a stop to it. I don't have a very good feeling about it, though. Niko has to play better than he did against Milwaukee.

Drummond: 45 offensive rebounds.
Bulls: 36 total rebounds.

Seriously though, we gotta wake up and start playing with playoffs intensity. We're 0-2 vs them since the AS break including that terrible, terrible loss a couple weeks ago :nonono: . A win here would be huge.

And don't let Reggie Jackson do this.

Love the OP including the Jordan vs. Bad Boys stuff. I can't imagine a generation of Bulls fans 20-30 years from now who will have to do such extensive research to understand the Jordan era like many of us would do to find out about those Sloan/Van Lier Bulls teams.
Kris Bryant will go down as the greatest Chicago athlete after MJ

edit 7/30/21: okay maybe not, but it was a fun ride nonetheless

That one in on AB tho, his job was to deny middle at all cost, force him to the sideline, apparently he was expecting the screener and blinked allowing jackson get to the middle.

Pau clearing the way to the rim is also pretty nice.

He was moving to cover the sideline, that's his job. The guy guarding the ball handler must deny the middle at all cost and the big must cover the sideline while protecting the paint and allowing the long 2. Pau was expecting a guy coming from the sideline not the middle and he's not the fastest guy to react.

for the record we lost the bucks game because of aaron brooks and thibs lack of adjustments, chose to run brooks instead of snell or dunleavy at the end of the game. instead went with the dual point guard lineup. :banghead:

Once Brooks was beat, Pau should have cut the way to the basket. Him just escorting Regie to the basket is ridiculous.

why? The Bulls have a much better chance of beating the Bucks in a 1st round series than they do the Wizards

And its not like the Hawks are any easier of a potential 2nd round matchup than the Cavs would be.

Pau doesn't have the foot speed to recover when Brooks gets beat somewhere the defense is saying Brooks shouldn't let him go (straight down the middle with a head of steam). When Pau recovers he has to stick Drummond because Drummond is so dangerous in the P&R if you don't stay attached to him.

Joakim Noah was guarding Joel Anthony on the play and decided to not step up and then did the worst thing which is half commit too late (you don't stop the shot and if Jackson misses/passes to Anthony, you have no ability to help).

That's what I meant by "not the fastest guy to react". Still AB didn't execute the basics of Thibs defense like he should have, to me that's way worse than Pau being too slow to react.

Pistons? Did someone say Pistons? More like the Detroit Ponies.

After Rose broke both his knees, I gave up on the hope that we'd make it to the NBA Finals again. It will probably be decades before we see another championship. Hello Treadmill, here we come.

I feel this is when Pau becomes gassed,I mean look at him here he barely moves

He plays the 1st quarter 12 minutes straight then gets his rest till about the 6 or 7 min mark of the 2nd quarter then starts 2nd half an dont get taken out until about the 4/3 min mark of the 3rd quarter and around that time I feel that is when he is gassed and you can see it just by him jogging up the court he looks like he needs a oxygen tank.

With the depth of Niko Taj and Noah I think his minutes can be well better spread around then just playing full quarters straight, like still playing the same amount of minutes but just in different spurts
