Thought a short series at a packed stadium deserved it's own thread! If thread making abilities work here then I get the Yankees. If ,however, we don't at least split this series, someone else will need to step up against the Yankees. Please!

Sensi brought up 2 points in the Spring Training thread I liked. Keep it for the regulars and continue with the series-winner-makes-the-next-thread. If the lineup of series thread creators gets bigger setup a reserve list or something?

going to the game tomorrow. Today it's 11 degrees and sunny in Montréal. Tomorrow it's 5 to 10 cm's of snow. J'aime cette ville!

Me likey. The top 5 is deadly of course, but there's lots of upside in that bottom 4. I'm feeling good about Travis and Pompey holding their own, and both Saunders and Smoak have really good chances to have career years. Let's just hope the pitching holds up.

side question, why is the mayor of montreal saying he wants to build a new stadium to bring a new baseball team back? didn't montreal just finished paying off the Big O not too long ago? Also, if they can host these sold-out exhibition games, why can't they play everyday there? not like the Big O is being used much..

The Big O is a complete disaster at this point; it's entirely unsuitable for long-term use, and is a constant threat to outright collapse.

And the utility of building a new stadium in Montreal really depends on whether they can get private money to aid the process, as has been bandied about. If it's the city footing the whole of the bill, with no occupant ready to move in, it'll be a disaster.

Tabby's in midseason form...I don't think that hanging a curveball and getting it driven to the track is really going to settle Boyd down.

Talk about an unorthodox windup. It looks like he's going to fall over to the third-base side.

Cagey game; neither team wants to waste runs on a meaningless preseason outing.

That was a nasty curve from Redmond there. Nasty.
