Rio is just mad he wont ever start on an nba team ever again. You know he mad about Dragic and probably insulted on how people trash talked about PG play, because we statisically (and eye test) had the worse in the league and that included him.

He never was a starter in the first place. Again he should be grateful he even has a role to fill or else he would be sitting his ass on the bench like he did in the finals

Just when I thought I was incapable of hating Mario Chalmers more then I already do, he opens his dumb **** mouth. Good riddance you selfish prick, I'll never understand why you got as much PT as you did, you should be thanking us and trying to be one of players keeping us together since you've been here a while. Can't wait for this offseason, kick this guys ass to the curb, we don't need selfish immature bad players like this clown. Your free ride is over, kid.

Yeah, and this came right after Rio couldn't even start when Wade went down in the 1st half and TJ started ahead of him.
Ironically Rio is more suited as a backup SG and the numbers prove it (he did play fairly well in March).

And he was probably trying to say that everyone is playing out of position and struggling but he is DUMB AS ROCKS and came out all wrong! And he thinks he is TOP 10PG while ESPN ranks him below top 30 (unranked) even below 5.9 PER Dante Exum LMAO!

He pulled the same **** during the 2014 NBA Finals when he was playing like human-garbage-highlight the entire playoffs and the team still resigned him so I think he'll be around next season (unless the team can find a taker).. but he is playing like he is disposable anytime.. and that's all on him.

I see Mario's future.

TJ is definitely better than Mario. It's funny that he can't accept that.

Still can't believe Riley even re-signed him, I almost threw my phone when I saw the update of "Mario Chalmers re-signed 4m". Practically every time this guy comes in he inflicts negative impact (except that 8-9 game stretch). Riley should SVG him and waive him already, I don't think there's a player other than Cole( who is gone thank God) that I've despised so much in a Heat uniform.

He always has this smug attitude when he commits the absolute dumbest fouls like "it's not my fault" attitude. I don't how Wade deals.

Frustrated guard Mario Chalmers questions role on Miami Heat

DETROIT

Frustration festered like an infected wound on Thursday night in the Heat’s postgame locker room.

On one end of the cramped space, Dwyane Wade spoke with muted dejection about his latest injury.

On the other end, Wade’s sometimes backup, Mario Chalmers, questioned his place on the team. As one of the Heat’s only uninjured players, Chalmers knows he has a lot to offer, but at this point he’s not quite sure how to do it. Seven games remain of this bewitched and broken season.

“I don’t even really know what my role is on this team anymore,” Chalmers told the Miami Herald. “I don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing.”

I think a lot of players are frustrated. Keep in mind, Miami is leading the league in total lineups this season. The roster has been in flux for an entire season due to injuries and such. It's easy to be confused about your role. One of the problems I knew would hurt us last season was Wade's nearly 30-game vacation scattered throughout the season. With him out, it was hard for players to develop a rhythm with him on the floor. I said it then that it would be a ticking time bomb that would explode once matched up against a disciplined team, and that's what happened. The Spurs destroyed us, and that was one of many reasons why.

Chalmers was supposed to come in as our backup SG. For a little while, he actually played well in that role, especially during that stretch Wade was out in November and he averaged 19.1 points, 6.6 assists, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.7 steals while shooting 50.6% from the field.

No really, he did: http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/c/chalmma01/gamelog/2015/#448-454-sum:pgl_basic

All season, his minutes have hovered in the 30s, but the quality of those minutes has changed due to his expected role. I understand that he's expected to be a professional and do whatever the team asks of him out on the floor, but I also understand that this has been a season from hell in many respects. Roles, as well as lineups, have changed significantly. It's been crazy.

Lastly, if we want Chalmers gone, fine. Let's get rid of him. But you had well better replace him with someone better. Does anyone have any better ideas for a pesky combo guard that can hit big shots, handle the ball, and be as good in passing lanes as he is? Is there anyone available on the market (either now or in the summer) that can easily replaced Chalmers and what he can bring? If there is, then let Rio's career come to an end in a HEAT uniform.

If not, we're stuck with him. That's just the way it is.

Find another Mario Chalmers without the bone head issues and we're talking about a player that's worth way more than $4 million.

We need another defensive guard this season

Rio's time is up, need someone who doesnt get burned on defense. He gets steals sure, but he gets smoked like hell and commits the 4th most fouls IN THE LEAGUE!! who isnt even a **** starter

Rio's contract is expiring at 4mil, someone will take it if they want to get rid of someone who may be of use to us and is expiring as well, we shall see.

This summer will be interesting, we have a lot of moving pieces and of course signing Dragic

Erik Spoelstra Proving His Worth Through Miami Heat's Injury-Riddled Season

The Heat are still standing and tossing a few counterpunches of their own. That fighting spirit, that refusal to accept fate, that willingness to push past every obstacle—it all starts with Spoelstra.

This might be the least successful year on his resume, but it stands as one of his finest works to date.

Being frustrated isn't the problem. They should all be frustrated how badly wev'e played at times. The problem is mouthing off at this crucial time of the season.

Wesley Matthews and Danny Green will be available on the summer. Both of them are a huge upgrade over Mario Chalmers.

Here is the take away for Dragic from Rio's latest mess ...

In order to accommodate Dragic and make him feel at home, we have let our incumbent 2 time champion and top 10 PG in this league question his role on this team :D

The exact opposite of what he felt in Phoenix!

Does anyone have a recording of Chalmers saying this or are we supposed to just trust Joe Goodman, Jr? Chalmers has been a good player for us, especially this year. I can see where he would be frustrated, but for all his defects, he is the epitome of a team player.

Are you talking about team Cirque du Soleil gom? :-? Joe Goodman is quoting Rio and it's re-quoted by major news outlets.. I don't think Joe is making stuff up to risk his career on Rio's trivial comment gom.

I don't want my epitome of team player to cry about his lack of roles/touches in the middle of NBA finals or the most crucial part of a playoff race gom :(

"I'm not involved, really," Chalmers said. "I think in the previous Finals I was handling the ball a lot more and getting more action. I think defenses were playing me different. Right now, it's just trying to make the adjustment, trying to get my teammates looking for me more."http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/2014-06-11/sports/fl-miami-heat-point-guards-0612-20140611_1_mario-chalmers-nba-finals-eastern-conference-finals

Do you wanna hear this in the middle of the finals when the whole team's fate is on the line?

But in all honesty, I feel like Rio, and Bosh to some degree, are really honest.. straightforward or whatever you wanna call it. And the media's easy target to ask questions to get something out to stir things up. They should all know this by now though. I try not to make much of it these days.

We are moving on gom.
