This will be a tough one added with the fact that the starters played heavy minutes.

Either way:

This...IS A MUST WIN GAME!!!!

hope find a way to scratch and clae and make this an ugly game and least have a shot late.

im not sure how we keep it close though. they just move the ball so well and defend so well. i look at that stretch where toronto kept putting brook in pick and rolls and it led to so many wide open dunks and layups and thats how atlanta plays and they owned us on it the last time we played them...

the adjustment we made vs toronto was to have whoeever was on the wing step in and body the bigman off the roll. but if we do that vs atlanta they have the 3 point shooters to make us pay.

i cant see a win unless dwill and or joe go off bigtime.

Brook wont be enough, i see this as like the boston game where he can get 30 and we can still get blown out

When is Clark's contract up?
Maybe we should do a 10 day on a wing with AA out....no idea who.

To be fair whatever was going on with Brook in the PNR hasn't been happening lately. I think the team was a little too worried about Derozan or Lou Will - led to some wide open dunks. But yeah, if that doesn't get cleaned up - we're going to be in for a long night.

Big game for the 2nd unit. Jack is probably going to get all of AA's minutes. Plumlee needs to give Brook some rest. IDK if Hollins is gonna with Clark or CJ - but either one needs to give us a lift.

i cant imagine hollins would give time to a 10 day wing with markel and bogs on the roster and playoffs on the line. more then likely he rides jjs minutes harder and rolls bogs for more minutes.

its not all on brook. our PGs dont play the pick and roll well either. the 1-5 pickroll has been a problem as long as brook and dwill have been nets.

vs. teams who shoot the 3 well, it becomes a flaw really tough to voercome since you cant ask our wings to leave 3 point shooter to impede the progress of the rolling big. which means you instead sag lopez and give the PG an open 15 footer and/or a free run at the hoop.

its a tough problem to solve, and one where we likely mix up what we leave open and hope they miss or dont make the right play

I'm just nervous we end up see Jack and Deron.
Bogs and Mariel are still inconsistent rookies. Any foul trouble and we could be in trouble

im nervous regardless of who is next to dwill other then brown. brown isnt great but he doesnt take bad shots.

bogs and clark take awful ill advised shots that absoltuely kill you and often turn into 4 point swings. jack shots are a bit better but he is also a gunner and gets too shot happy for long stretches were others dont touch the ball.

we need thad or joe to play with that unit. someone who is going to move the ball.

im less concerned with dwill/jack. if jack is playing with the starters the ball is in his hands less. on the second unit his usage sky rockets.

Well, Markel is young. If he plays well, he can handle big minutes. That would allow Bogs to backup both Markel and Joe without being forced into huge minutes - and let Hollins avoid playing Jack-Deron together. That's logical. But I can tell that Hollins has been itching to go back to Jack-Deron. The guy really and truly believes in Jack. It's not hard to tell. I'd be SHOCKED if Jack doesn't play a ton of time next to Deron. Which will end in disaster without a doubt.

Anyway, I just hope we compete today. Beating the best team in the East on the road coming off an emotional, down-to-the-wire front end of a B2B is a lot to ask. This would definitely put the league on notice. And ATL hasn't been playing nearly as well for a variety of reasons. I'd love to see them play all their guys, go all out to help their draft pick, and still lose.

I would go with CJ at C tonight to guard Antic. Not sure Plumlee will be useful tonight.

i dont want to even imagine CJ playing defense on the perimeter. that is an ugly scary thought. his ability to defend ouside of the paint is basically what keeps him glued to the bench.

If Plumlee can't reasonably guard a stretch 5 like Antic - I'm not sure what his role is on this team.

Since when? He did fine against the Morris twins. Our coach inability to use his brain is why he is glued to the bench.

you think so? i thought he was constantly out of position and constantly being blown by forcing help in that suns game. to me he is super not ready to be an NBA bench player. i advoke more minutes for him, but thats mostly because clark to me is a negtive player and we really dont have a PF on the roster.

He had 14/13 and the biggest reason why we built a 14 point lead in that game. He was outworking everyone on the Suns and our genius coach took him off the floor which allowed the Suns to get offensive rebounds and the threes started to fall.

He hasn't done anything bad enough to warrant Clark to get minutes despite the level of chucking he has displayed. Plumlee is giving up 52% at the rim which means he is always out of position but he still gets minutes.
