Is he more athletic than Jonas? Looks like it. Has a better body type.

Yeah I think so. He's got quick feet compared to current Jonas

Sabonis looks to be a better passer as well

Most definitely. He's doing a good job defensively against Okafor despite being a bit undersized.

I remember when Jonas used to be as nimble as Sabonis.

If Kentucky loses to Wisconsin which I think they will I'm pretty much guaranteed to win lol.

Sabonis doesn't seem to have great length though.

JV is 7-0 with a 7-5 wingspan
Sabonis is 6-10 with what it seems like a 7-0 wingspan

When was that? I don't think he was that mobile. Maybe when he was 16-17? But he never had very quick feet. The botched player development by the Raps only made him slower.

Jonas was at around mid 260 pounds during his rookie years right? Can we bring him down to 260 next year instead of 280?

Jonas was a soft 240 lbs around the time he got drafted & when he was a rookie... I doubt he's already 280 I think he's at 250-260 right now.

Justise Winslow = MKG with actual basketball skills.

I never understood this boards obsession with MKG that draft year...

MKG's defense is still abover average.. it was just his otehr talents were raw.. he's still very athletic & quick.
Justise Winslow is more like a Wilson Chandler that plays defense to me.

Good comp. Never thought of Wilson Chandler before.

There was a tweet earlier in the season that mentioned he had lost weight from 280, down to 270. Can't find it now but I'll keep looking.

Ideally he needs to be in the 250-255 range given his wiry body type. When you watch him run in a straight line it's clear his body can't maintain the current weight level - no forward acceleration, slow to get momentum started.

Even though my bracket is busted (I had Zona and Iowa State going to the Championship game), but I think Wisconsin and Duke win tonight. Duke destroyed MSU at the Champions Classic back in November, and Wisconsin has the shooting to spread UK's defense and size that ND didn't have to contain Towns. Also, Wisconsin plays a slow game and runs a lot of motion stuff and PNR actions out of their Swing offense which favours them since UK always plays with 3 bigs.
