The Jays look good. Bullpen seems improved, rotation is solid and offence should be a force...... However
......... Every team in the AL East looks to have a shot this year. Red Sox are gonna be favourites to take it all. Baltimore has experience and depth. Yanks will go as far as their rotation can carry em, but what a rotation they have. Only the Rays look weak, but even they will not be outright horrible.
2014 was when Jays had their chance. This time it looks much tougher.
Its also a crucial year. If Jays fall flat on their face, there will be a complete change all around.... AA, fired... Gibbons, fired.... Beeston, done.... Bautista, Encarnacion traded as they have only one year on contract.... Dickey, Burhle traded..... Reyes dumped..... Jays will lower payroll and do a rebuild.
Anyway. Go Jays.

Our Division is too stacked. You have to go for it any year you can.

You can poke holes in every single team in the East. As always, it will come down to how the injury bug bites. The Yankees rotation hinges on Tanaka's arm not falling apart. Wouldn't put much stock in Sabathia or Eovoldi. The Red Sox lost an ace but improved overall depth. The Orioles lost their two corner outfielders, one who hit 40 HR and will not have Wieters until June. The Rays won't be terrible but they're probably the cellar dwellers this year. The Jays own problems are well documented as well. So, it is fairly wide open right now. If the Jays can keep their lineup 1-6 healthy and run into some decent surprises in the rotation then they'll have a good a shot as anyone.

It's a good year to go for it. Whether we have the necessary components to go for it -- outside the offense, which should be ridiculous -- remains to be seen.

**** your asterisk.

Now or never. If I'm not mistaken the Jays have the longest drought without a postseason appearance after the Royals made it last year.

Yea I don't understand either, what are we supposed to do?
"Other teams in our division are good this year so why bother trying."
