LOL Who said that?

No, seriously. I didn't see Nets stopping ONE Teague Horford pick'n'roll WHOLE game. Lopez was... like really funny. He looked like he had no idea what to do.

Yeah, I'm aware of that. Thanks.

Bojanovič scored couple of points but he allowed like 30 on him. Him leaving Korver on three again and again wasn't the greatest idea you know. But DAMN this Joe Johnson :)

Bogdanovic scored 19 points and Korver finished with 10 points and Sefelosha scored 12. We all know Bojan isn't a great defender but DAMN this Bogdanovic! :)

Of course the best scenario would be Nets missing PO and winning lottery for Hawks but if (and I believe you do) you make PO this serie wouldn't be long.

Thanks, Captain Obvious. I suggest reading our other discussions where we point out (since off-season) this team would be a 6th to 8th seed at best and could win 1 game at best. Since you rudely came into this thread to call me out...without even quoting me I'll point out my beef with Joe. Joe Johnson finished with 4 points and a -34 in 20 minutes. The difference between Deron and Lopez is both played their ass off against the Raptors. Lopez played 43 minutes and did not sit in the 4th quarter against the Raptors, Deron did not sit in the 4th quarter either.

Joe Johnson had every opportunity to step up and come out leading but he reverted into the invisible man in a game where he was needed the most to step up out of everyone else on the team. He scored 9 points against the Knicks, 12 points against Toronto. He's had two or three good games out of the month in total. His average for March has been 12.3 points, 42% FG, 32% 3pt and a TS% of 51.5. So, on top of the garbage production he is giving us in a crucial month. Fans have to watch a Hawks team try to knock us out of the playoffs because of a pick swap...for Joe Johnson who can't even show up during the stretch run towards the playoffs. It doesn't mean I'm not aware everyone else was garbage on Saturday but Joe has been garbage for awhile. Big difference.

Come on Joe has played better recently. He has showed up during this recent stretch. During the 6 game winning streak:
14.5 ppg, 42.2 FG, 41.9 3P%, 86.6 FT%, 56 TS%, 5.8 apg, 5.8 rpg. That's not bad efficiency, greater facilitating. He hasn't need to carry the scoring load with the way Brook has been playing, Deron's improved play. He still draws defensive attention and can exploit mismatches, and has been very clutch.

He hit the deep 3 - the dagger at the Cavs. Hit a big 3 in the corner, coined the dagger, against the Lakers. Hit the dagger against the Pacers with under 20 seconds left. He drew the double team that left Deron wide open on the 3 against the Raptors. Those big shots are stepping up when the team needs a basket at the end of the game and he has delivered. Those aren't invisible moments.

And Deron's March #'s are 11.6 on 49.6 TS%, but he deserves a pass for the Hawks game because he played well against the Raptors. Joe is 33, battling tendonitis and played 37 minutes the night before. He wasn't primed for a big game. If you're making excuses for one, make them for all of them.

When you lose by 30 plus points that's an entire team not showing up.
We don't go on a 6-0 without his play.

I don't think Deron's been given a pass at all this season and deservedly so. But why can't we defend players with out trying to
deflect the blame to another player?

Everybody was bad this game. This time of year there are no excuses. We can't use back to backs or how much a guy plays the night before as an excuse. The standings don't care. We are fighting for our playoff lives so every game should be do or die. Our big three were bad in this game. Everybody deserves the heat they got.

That's what I said earlier in the thread when you lose by 30+ that's not one person's fault. That's an entire team melt down, not one person playing like garbage.

Shouldn't be singling out any one person to shoulder the burden for a 30+ point pounding while making excuses for others.

nba teams with the highest payroll in the sport shouldn't ever lose by 30.

Who's blaming him for the entire loss? I'm calling him out for being the worst negative player and not even looking good BEFORE that. The biggest motivation around the incentive for the Hawks was a deal we made for him in a game which he finished with a historically bad game.

you singled him out barely after the game even started. 3 minutes into a game guys shouldnt be blamed... specifcially for making trades since they are players and not GMs

Haha I actually didn't, just ended up drunk staring at the court thinking how are we down 80 in the first half. Saw Jarret Jack shooting before warmups pregame and actually got excited.
