Byron Scott wasn't this bad in Cleveland?

This guy is constantly in the media making absolute genius statements (doesn't like 3s, publicly calls out players on consistent basis), simply doesn't like some guys on the roster (Lin) and doesn't hesitate to bench or DNP-CD anybody at any time.

But he wasn't like that here, I actually thought he was a pretty good coach specially for the younger guys, I don't recall any issues between him and a player.

Only notable thing I recall him doing is benching Dion, but 3 other coaches done the same afterwards (Brown, Blatt, Brooks), so more than likely it was the right decision, but Dion probably played his best basketball with Byron.

He's had issues with CP3 and JKidd in the past, but as far as Cleveland was concerned he was just fine. Did our organization just have a way to tame him or, what really happen? Did we just cover issues up well? I mean, he was fired.

He was just as bad for us. Considerably worse coach than mike brown.

He was just collecting checks, waiting for an equally bad Lakers coach to be fired.

Byron Scott is a product of having Jason Kidd fall into the Nets laps at the right time. Then he took the NO job and CP3 fell into his lap.
He's a terribly overrated coach only because he got to back to back Finals with the best PG in the league at the time.

False. So false.

Mike Brown was actually supposed to win, Byron Scott coached a team built to lose. Mike Brown blew Karasev and Bennetts development and our best player had his most inefficient season of his career under him.

Byron Scott is directly responsible for some very bad habits developed by young players. He told Kyrie to play hero ball so the Cavs could win as many games as possible with a bad team (a strategy that might have cost them a shot at AD or MKG). He never practiced defense. Think about how insane that is.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

This guy became delusional.... he fell in love with a nobody named price and alienated possibly his 2 of his 3 best young players that isn't hurt from the team in Lin and Young. His coaching days should be over after the lakers.

Jordan Clarkson is more talented than any player at that position on Los Angeles.

He was trying to develop his offensive players by giving them freedom. It worked great for Kyrie, you don't think bearing that burden in his earlier career is in part responsible to for the killer edge he has today? Waiters not so much, but he didn't understand the game like Kyrie.
