Wall not gonna play vs. Sixers (rest). Sessions expected to start.

John Wall (rest) will not play vs. the 76ers on Wednesday and Ramon Sessions is expected to draw the start.
Despite dealing with a variety of injuries, Wall hadn't missed a game this season prior to this news and it's probably a good idea for the Wizards to be cautious leading into playoffs. Wall should be ready to go Friday's game vs. the Nets, but we will update his status once we know more. Sessions is worth a look as a streamer in deeper leagues while Will Bynum figures to get more playing time as well.

3d seed would give us home court advantage vs. the Bucks, which would probably be the easiest EC draw in R1, given the way Brooklyn and Boston have played lately. But, we won't get there in 5 games from 2 in back of the Bulls (who own the tie-breaker I believe -- yes?). If they were to close out 1-4, we'd have to go 4-1.

In that case, we could conceivably be 4th w/ the Bulls 5th, but for that to happen requires the above and then also requires the Raptors to do no better than 2-3

Plus, there's no difference (in the first round at least) between 4th & 5th seeds if we're playing Toronto; either way they have home court as division winners. Now, if somehow Toronto moved into 3d, and we wound up in front of the Bulls... but, come on, that's not happening.

Nor can we fall to the 6th seed. So... to ensure the highest possible pick in the draft, it's in our interest to close the regular season as poorly as possible -- to make sure that the Bulls, Raps & Dallas pick behind us.

Wall not playing tonight is a step in that direction! Here's hoping we also give Seraphin 30 minutes or more of burn and see a lot of Bynum!

Actually... it's always better to win, and we have a good shot at it anyway.
