Re: Hornets Playoff Watch
They should think that this year doesn't happen like this if we aren't totally derailed by injuries, because that's reality. The issue remains though that we need to continue to develop and upgrade the talent on the roster.

Ignoring how injury prone Al is and how anemic on offense with or without Al b/c Clifford can't coach offense or nobody can shoot (whichever side you're on) would be really foolish, injury bad luck or not.

Stay healthy and we go .500. Woulda been a good season. We woulda had the 6th seed.

Agree and like framing it this way. Regardless of which version of Al we get, our offense is not dynamic enough and we are not scoring enough. You can blame the roster, the coaching, or the system, but no one here honestly thinks hoping to stay healthy and maintaining the status quo is acceptable at this point.

Don't think anyone would have said that before the season started, but most would have considered that a miracle if you said it 12/15.

Well it's not a masked secret that I wasn't happy with the makeup of the roster since day 1. I didn't feel like we improved in any specific area during the offseason except for Lance over Hendo at SG and that turned out to be false so of course this season ended up being a disaster.

Dude I can't figure you out right now. You say if we stay healthy it would have been a good season, then you say we didn't improve so the season ended up being a disaster.

I'm saying that the only way we coulda improved on last season woulda been if Lance coulda been better than average Joe Hendo.
If everyone coulda stayed healthy we woulda finished .500, good enough to make the playoffs and make people forget that we didn't improve, and therefore it woulda been a good season. Playoffs = good season in this context.

So not actually a good season in your mind, right? Just trying to get to what you actually think.

Correct. .500 ball doesn't impress me.

Re: Hornets Playoff Watch
DET got eliminated from playoff contention last night, so that means we're next on the chopping block. Honestly, I'm not sure how we haven't been eliminated already. From the ESPN ticker thing, it looked like we were three games back with about four games left for everybody, and we don't really own the tiebreaker with anyone. I guess we'd basically have to win out and hope that everyone ahead of us loses out.

I gotta give you credit. You gave up on this poor excuse of a roster sooner than I did and I completely disliked about 75% of the roster.

I chuckled the moment I saw it appear on the board. I figured no matter how a fan frames it, we're not heading in that direction. It threw some people off the issues.
It has been written...

I was a avid poster in the problems/issues thread before the season even started. Lol. I'll try to bump it if I can find it. I need revisionist theory so I can play Captain Hindsight to make me feel better about wasting 2.5 hours of my time watching this team almost every other day the past several months.
