Brooklyn has to be a highly motivated team right now. They have an outside chance of getting the 6th seed -- avoiding the Hawks & Cavs in R1. They must be trying to pump themselves up. Even (maybe especially) if they *do* have to face one of those teams.

It might be hard to beat them on their court tonight. It would definitely be fun though!

It really is great that they are resting him and getting him ready for the playoffs - he really needed the rest to heal some of those bumps and bruises.

Honestly I'm not just saying this because of the start we've had and I know there's many on this board that want to give Wall rest, but we have no business resting Wall in a game like this. We are not in a position to cede home court. This teams leaders never make savvy moves. It's one thing sitting him against a scrub team like the 76ers, but against a Nets team that's hot makes no sense.

Starting Nene isn't the answer anymore, but Randy is far too obtuse to figure that out. After they're done getting served in this game hopefully someone says something. Wall's got to see it.

Even with Wall out, Randy just cannot figure out how to manipulate the roster.

Gortat and Nene just cannot play together.

(But Gooden and Otto really need Wall to set them up, so there's that as well.)

SMH -- this first quarter happens when you have Ernie assembling your roster and Randy coaching it.
