Biggest game of the season. Nets are in total control of their faith. But if they loose, they will have to depend on others to make the playoffs. Bulls approach to the game will depend on weather they want to finish 3rd (Bucks in the 1st and Cleveland in the second) or 4th (which would allow them to avoid Cleveland until conference finals).

Thibs isn't the type of coach to concede anything.

For the second time in three years we are in position where the Bulls can end our season.

I have zero faith in this team to win this game.

ZERO.

These are the games where the two highest paid players usually decide to mail it in.

To me, the season ended yesterday afternoon.

This team doesn't have the hunger or desire to be in the playoffs. Look at the body language of the Celtics, Pacers, two teams that understands what is at stake. This team lacks the mental fortitude to get in the playoffs and don't deserve to be in with their porous display of basketball as of late. The NETS are hot garbage.

I don't think that's completely true, we've had the hunger for the past 20 games or so. That's how we fought ourselves back into the playoffs position.

We **** up yesterday... But things are pretty darn clear, JUST WIN

Well, I am shocked we lost AT Milwaukee yesterday but I was stupid for believing our new resurgence.

Tonight, hope for the best but prepare for the worst!

Win, just **** win....

Even though yesterday was extremely disappointing, it doesn't wipe out everything that was done leading up to the game. How they play tonight will really determine whether yesterday was an untimely aberration or if we're back to being that team folds when the stakes are the highest.

We still control whether we get into the playoffs or not. We need to act like it.

its comical to me....

Got to beat the bulls and Magic... I'm afraid Hollins is going to go ultra conservative with lineups thus potentially sabotaging our chances to win....

That's the mentality I'm trying to hold, WE are the ones in control of our playoff hopes. If we lose tonight then I'm ready to get all sad because then our playoff chances are in the hands of the Pacers.

We're still favorites by a LARGE margin over the Pacers to make the postseason, so at least other people believe in us. I believe in us, we just need to come out with every single punch we have today. I don't care if Hollins goes all Thibs and plays our starting 5 all 48 minutes. WE NEED TO WIN!

There are no if, ands, or buts about it. WE can decide our hopes. We've been doing that for the past 2-3 weeks and if we let a terrible game like yesterday decide our playoff hopes then we truly are ****. I'm going to stick to the belief that things are possible and we will make the postseason.

Let's just show up tonight

As disappointing as yesterday's loss was, this team's situation should have NEVER been this.

Hollins has mismanaged this team from the very beginning. Hollins had said he would create an offense around his players. THAT NEVER happened until a month ago.

Anyway. I really hope Nets can win this one. Lopez showed a lot of emotion at the end of last night's game. I hope he can channel all that to take it to the Bulls tonight. Lopez needs to be very aggressive. JJ has to show up and play defense.

Regardless of what happens the next two games, Nets need to get young wings. Nets biggest issue has been defending the perimeter for years. As much as I loved the two trades, but now we see that trading for JJ was a mistake as much as getting KG and PP. Nets needed to GO YOUNGER instead of go after vets. DWill and Lopez needed young athletes at the wings that could defend, run the floor and occasionally hit 3pt shots.

As good as JJ has been for Nets, I think Nets should call PHO, NOH, CHA or any team that is just outside of playoffs looking in with too many young players and in need of some Veteran to come in to help out. Then wrap up Jack and trade him for whatever you can get for him.

I would have had no problem if we competed all 4 qtrs against Milwaukee and lost in a tough one. But these guys came out in the 3rd and QUIT. That is what makes me nervous about these next two games.

Aren't we past the point of trying to build around DWill? Despite a stretch of 2-3 weeks he's been pretty awful all year. He's turning 31 in 2 months, has a number of injury concerns, declining.

Tread water until 2016. Let Joe walk and waive DWill.

I understand what you are saying but the reality is DWill is most likely here for two more seasons. Regardless Nets need to get young wing players to keep up with team in the NBA. Their is a reason why Nets cant beat teams like BOS and MIL. It is because our wings are terrible defensively. Brown is refreshing but he cant guard SFs. Nets need at least two more wing players that can defend, move without the ball, run the floor, finish around the rim and occasionally hit some threes.

Even though Plumlee has taken a step back, Nets are still ok in the front court with Him, Lopez, Thad, MT3 and CJ. It is the guards and SF position that is Nets weakness. Brown and Bogs are clearly keepers. AA has been good but he is old. We are stuck with Dwill.

So this offseason BKing needs to add some YOUNG players
DWill / Back Up PG / 3rd String PG
Brown / Bogs / Defensive SG/SF
Starting SF / Defensive SG/SF
Thad / MT3 / CJ
Lopez / Plumlee / 3rd String C/PF

Nets need or HAVE NEEDED this for years.
1) Back Up PG - That can distribute, defend and occasionally hit a 3
2) A Starting and A Back Up SF / SG - That can defend, slash/cut, and occasionally hit a 3
3) 3rd String C / PF - Help defender that can rebound and score around the basket

I really hope all the emotion that Brook showed last night translates into a big game. We need production all across the board.

We keep saying it, but this is THE game. A Win and we continue our push with a good chance (us vs Orlando and pacers vs Griz, I'll take those chances). A loss and we can pack it all up because I doubt the pacers lose to the Wiz.

We need to pull out EVERY single punch we have left. Lay it ALL on the table tonight. We need to fight until we have nothing left

Yeah, with the way the Wizards have been playing I'm not counting on them to win.

the way they're playing and the fact that if Chicago wins tonight the Wizards are locked into the 5th seed. They'll have nothing to play for and i can see them resting their guys. Even if we win, a Chicago win over the 76ers in their final game will get them the 4 seed. The Wizards really don't have much to play for.
