The character was easy to hate, but I thought he played his role well during his time in NXT.

I've read a few interviews with him since he left and I'm going to go out on a bit of a limb and say that this is far from the last we've heard of CJ Parker or whatever his real name is in WWE and otherwise. This guy gets it in a way that I'm guessing very, very few others in his situation probably do. He was explaining why he requested his release and a lot of it was seeing Balor, Itami, Neville, Zayn and Owens and recognizing how much better these guys were than him and that he wasn't going to catch up with them unless he got the same or similar experiences they did. I'm guessing there are very, very few guys down in NXT that have that type of self-awareness and I think that'll only serve him well going forward.
