Can't watch, but Calderwood just got submitted. On her record as her first loss but remember she got subbed by Rose too.

Gadelha and Calderwood were supposed to win on this card and fight the champ. No idea who they pull now.

Cro Cop looked terrible up until he landed that elbow to the temple.

Glad he got payback though. I'll always be fan.

I don't see how they could have counted on Calderwood, she's never looked impressive in style. That woman sunk the armbar in real well. And some cool interaction in teh crowd with JJed (who looked real pretty, in fact).

Manuwa's got nothing.

Cro Cop hung back, sure, and hadn't done much but GG wasn't running away with it. And Cro Cop's finishing blows were absolutely vicious. Christ. Would have liked to see that one stopped 8 or so blows earlier. GG should retire. Meanwhile, Cro Cop when asked if we'd see him again: "of course". Uyyy.

Cro Cop now has 22 finishes in MMA, the most across major orgs. And is 6 for 6 in re-matches.

Does Calderwood always look like that before the fight? She looked like she wanted to vomit and/or cry. Not the look of a -900 favourite.

Her armbar defense was woeful. Like, not at a level of anyone who has been grappling for more than a year. Kind of mind boggling. Not at a level of a Cat Zingano isolating her own arm for Ronda to finish, but still really bad.

That's true, come to think. She looked absolutely terrible. Sickly and worn down.

There might well have been some outside factor in such a poor performance, then.

How fitting that Cro Cop gets his revenge. I always thought it was funny how Gonzaga's KO over an old, washed up Cro Cop made his career and single-handedly turned him into an "elite heavyweight." Was worried he was going to get another title shot if he won...

He's just one of these guys who was much better on paper. Heavy hands and feet, plus bjj black belt skills, plus heavyweight sucks.

Randy absolutely bulldozed him though. He honestly may never have been the same after that a**kicking.

Good point about Gonzaga on paper. You'd think the guy is a straight killer.

He's got an aura when folks talk about his BJJ. Don't know how accurate/valid it is these days, but I always got the impression that he was legit on the ground. Can't think of many instances in fights, but yeah, "Gonzaga BJJ" is supposedly real deal. Ok. Fine.

But then he also has a HK KO... not a right hook, uppercut like that crappy JDS. Head kick. HW. It's awesome.

Looking back on his record, he's only got a few subs... Marrero and Rothwell and that Oliviera gigantic HW guy.

Yep, Randy spanked him. Spanked him like he wasn't picking up the phone when Randy called (32 times) and only turned in $20 at the end of the night. Some nerve.

Rogan and Schaub were both giving GG dap during the Fight Companion podcast over the course of watching that fight. The tightness of his moves on top, specifically. Talking about how his BJJ is what leads to so many of those ground and pound successes.

"World champion", "legit", etc.
