Did you forget the green font?

Because it sure doesn't look like it. Their shooting has been laughable and their transition defense has been piss poor all game as well.

Brooklyn Nets: 2015 Season in Turmoil?

Man. I would love to face Hibbert in round 1 again. Of course I want the lotto pick but I also want some revenge on the pacers for the last two years.

Serious question..

If you could only pick one option which would it be?

Option A: Brooklyn loses tomorrow. We get a lotto pick that ends up a top 10 pick and we draft a player that becomes a very good franchise player going forward (aka not another Adreian Payne). BUT we lose in the ECF..

Option B: Brooklyn makes the playoffs. We draft another Adriean Payne-like player who basically becomes useless. BUT we make an appearance in the NBA Finals. No guarntee of winning, just an appearance.

How good of a franchise player we talking? If they're guaranteed tim Duncan level I might take option A

Not Tim Duncan level. More like Kawhi Leonard/Klay Thompson level. So like an elite "2nd banana" (although Kawhi has been looking like a legitimate #1 option laely).

I think kawhi is gonna be in MVP talks in a couple years, but I might have to go with the finals trip if it's not an alltimer. Too much could happen for me to feel comfortable in gambling on the future.

So if Utah Mia and Indy all win and Brooklyn loses we go up to #10 right? That's a pretty damn good spot for the best team in the league to be picking

Correct :D

If that were to happen then realistically we'd be picking around 10-11 but there is an outside chance we could sneak into the top ten around 8 or 9

It will be 10 at best, so if lucky, it could be 1st, 2nd or 3rd pick, then 10th if three teams between 1 and 9 win the lottery, or 11th, 12th or 13th if so teams behind us won in the lottery.

If I'm not wrong, we can't get 8th or 9th pick

I would have to go with option B. Finals opportunities aren't guaranteed and I think you should take it when it comes. Also, all-star free agents will start to look at Atlanta as a destination if we make it to the Finals. So, in the end, we could make the Finals and still obtain a top player.

Ok, I know some are bummed or pissed that the Hawks didn't get a lottery pick. If Indy won, we all could have had mild dreams about possibly getting a top 3 pick, even though it would be a 1% chance, it would still be a cool dream to have between now and the lottery.

Indy gets that pick now. Once the ping pong balls have been drawn and Indy gets #10 and not #1 we can all breath a sigh of relief of miss opportunities.

So after that we will be thinking, what if we had #10 instead of #15, and what player will we miss out on with 5 spots lower. I know alot of us had a mild dream of a guy like Winslow or Porzingis maybe falling to #10 and the Hawks snatching them up. But after the first nine teams make their selections, guys like Winslow, Porzingis, Stanley, etc. could have already been taken, so really it doesn't change the outcome of who the Hawks could have taken if they had the 10th pick.

I still have Devin Booker at #8 on my draft board:

1. Towns
2. Okafor
3. Russell
4. Mudiay
5. Stanley
6. Turner
7. Porzingis
8. Booker

(I'm not really a fan of Hezonja, and i'm not that big on Winslow because I don't really value tournament play as much as others)

So really, if Stanley, Winslow, Porzingis, Turner are already gone by #10 and if the Hawks walk away with a guy like Booker, Dekker, or Kaminsky, then really it doesn't change if the Hawks have #10 or #15.

But if by some miracle if Indy gets #1, then ya, all Hawks fans can lose their shtt, but Indy getting a top 3 is very very unlikely to happen.

I'd me somewhat disappointed if the Hawks were in the middle of the east, and the Nets getting 15, I'd still enjoy the 1st seed, can't have it all.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.
