I don't think I'll be watching. Not even in a holier-than-thou way, I just don't think it's that interesting. I struggle to keep up with the events with real fighters, especially Bellator, so I'm not going to waste my time on an event headlined by these two.

Well it is a tent pole event or whatever, so presumably there will be other good fights on the main card.

Shlemenko tested positive for elevated testosterone by the California commission.

If Bellator wants to be the "fun alternative" to the UFC, maybe they should just have events on reservations, quietly encourage steroid use, and implement pride rules. Not saying they should, don't know if they could...

I didn't (and won't) watch bellator last night, but I'm reading on twitter Schilling complaining about his opponent clinching and taking him down. Lol just go back to Glory dude, this is mma. I knew he would have trouble when in his last fight he got taken down and his guard passed by Manhoef like three times. 2-4 in mma now btw.

Marcine Held, beautiful! The takedown itself, dropping into the position was fantastic. This guy could be a force. He hung with a real strong striker, showed a lot of creativity. Hungry and 23.

That is the one fight I need to watch from last night. I still can't believe Tonon ankle locked Held. I enjoy watching Marcin for sure.

This is a good card overall, man. Watching the Schilling fight now. Some Cormier-prototype fought Volkov as well.

Schilling being lazy and sloppy with this bro. Almost shot-for-shot. He's not smooth enough for this. Pulls guard and sweeps the dude!

I'm sure this other guy was hand-picked as an ideal opponent but Schilling's grappling has totally neutralized the guy. He's gotten off the bottom a couple times now.

His contract expired. Huh. You rarely hear about that happening. The UFC has an uncanny way of always having guys wrapped up.

""Mr. Wonderful" holds notable wins in the UFC over Alexander Gustafsson, Brian Stann, Tim Boetsch, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Lyoto Machida and Glover Teixeira. "

That's a hell of a list, asterisks and SDs aside.

They cut most after losses rather than ever let contracts just expire, it appears.

This is another ploy for the benefit of the lawsuit imo. If you are going to give someone up to appear competitive, may as well give up one of the most boring guys in the organization.

I absolutely agree with this as well. The signing is now official by the way. This will strengthen Zuffa's argument that Bellator with loads of cash took and signed one of their top ranked LHW's, and gave him a tremendous offer that Zuffa chose not to match. I am not surprised that the UFC chose to not bring him back. After seeing Shields, Okami, and Fitch all let go the past couple of years, i knew Davis was a guy that the UFC was probably going to let go as well. He always came up in short in potential title eliminators and big fights (losing to Rashad, Rumble and Bader back in January) and never was going to be UFC champ in my eyes. He was also one of the most boring guys on the roster. Look forward to him vs King Mo in a true LHW Superfight for the Bellator LHW title.

People complain with the lack of Superfights in the sport. King Mo vs. Phil Davis is a true MMA Superfight everyone should be excited to see. It should be a future Bellator massive PPV Headliner. Cannot wait for that fight. Will be an amazing site. Also looking forward to a Jon Fitch vs. Shields potential WSOF fight in the future as well one of these days.
