His triple double came against Brooklyn.

Other not-that-awesome triple-doublers include: Jamaal Tinsley, Bob Sura...Lance Stephenson...

Bob Sura was textbook trash stats. That guy won me this boards fantasy league one year on his multiple triple doubles in the last 3 weeks of the season when the Hawks were WELL out of it. I like that guy.

Kaminsky is playing on the big stage. Prob won't be there wherever we end up picking.

Yup. Kaminsky played great throughout the tournament. Dekker had a down championship game, but a great tournament otherwise.

Obviously, there's a lot left to figure out; draft order, workouts, measurements, etc. But if we ended up with Kaminsky, I'd be happy. The guy will have a long career in the NBA.

I'd be happy with about anyone who came up big in the final weeks. I like Dekker and Grant as well as Kaminsky and all of the KY bigs.

pacers33granger wrote:Yeah it's not the ideal situation at all, but I'm trying to take solace in the fact that if we stay somewhere around 9-11 in the draft then there's a chance one of the second tier prospects drop to us. And if not, then we make the playoffs. Would be nice if we could get some lotto luck though if we do miss the playoffs. Would love to grab one of the top 4 guys in this draft.

If we do in fact miss the playoffs and get a pick in the 9-11 range remember the last time we picked 10th? We got a guy named Paul something.

Kaminsky reminds me of Dirk a little.

Well, worst fears happened. End up getting 9th where I didn't want to see us at. O well, maybe get lucky in the draft for once. I like this draft coming up, pretty deep for first time in a while and should find a good player where ever we are. Also, sure a lot of people going to disagree with me because I understand he does bring a lot on defense, but have to trade Hibbert. Just kills us on offense.

If you trade Hibbert, who would the Pacers look to get back in return?

I don't know, depends who would be interested in him. But to me I just be happy to get a good first rounder and clear the salary for him. Maybe get a younger player with some upside in return as well.

I wouldn't expect to get much. Huge expiring contract that will need a new deal while the cap is set to go up considerably and he's still young enough and has great tools despite being risky. Which means he'll get paid big again and would possibly be a one year rental for most teams since it only takes one and lots will be scared to commit.

I think we'd be looking to try and get a mid to late first and/or prospect of some sort along with another big expiring. No one will give much for taking on all of Hibbert's deal. Something like Hibbert for Wallace, Young, and one of the Celtics late picks is what we'd look for. We'd probably have to settle on Wallace, Pressey, and a late first though.

It's a possibility given the Celts do have a lot of picks and pieces to deal with during the offseason.

You're probably not wrong in your valuation there, but I imagine we'd just hold onto him for one year, make one more run, and then Let him hit free agency next summer.

I completely agree. I think we're in a tough position because we wouldn't get much for value back, so it will likely be best to just keep him and see what happens.

Yup. And, if you draft a young guy, it allows you to bring him along naturally, and not forcing him into heavy minutes out of desperation.
