Who would you pick in the draft and why?
I'm torn between the pg/sf/C position.
either Delon Wright since I think he could contribute right away since he is really mature with the ball and knows how to run an offense, really high iq.
Cameron Payne could provide immediate scoring off the bench, not sure if needed.
Jerian Grant I don't think he will be available at 24.
as for the SF there isn't that much options, there is Rondae Hollis Jefferson, he can guard 1-4 but has a terrible shot, not sure about fit.
Justin Anderson he is what he is a good shooter, good size and a defender.
as for the C, there are really nice gambles in the second round not sure if they will be available where we pick.
Robert Upshaw 7'0 Center, 7'4 wingspan with tremendous block shooting ability.
has drug problems, was kicked from two universities because he was tested positive.
Rakeem Christmas , 6'9 PF/C 7'3 wingspan, High energy guy, good blocking ability, rebounder, can score the ball.
a second rounder aswell right where the Cavs pick.
Who r your guys?

I like Rondae Hollis-Jefferson the most. He reminds me of MKG a little bit. Also like Tyus Jones.

Re: Who would you pick in the Draft
Knowing that we need a back up PG the most I'd hope Jerian Grant or Tyrus Jones drop to us somehow. But likely we get someone like Kris Dunn Unless the lakers are dumb enough to do a S&T for their top pick and Randell for the Brandon Haywood contract so they can get a big name FA with that asset. Then I'd go for Emmanuel Mudiay.

lack of draft speculation for once is comforting.

Still, we gotta draft smartly, and there are decent players to be had at 24

Overall I like the idea of drafting a high potential player that we can develop rather than a low ceiling player that's ready to contribute. I want to extend the window for this team.

I consider trading the player drafted for Mo Harkless in a S&T.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Because our bench can't defend.

Joe Harris great? Able to contribute in a year or two great? If the right player is there, fine. If not, trade the pick for a player who can contribute immediately and is cheap.

Delon Wright could contribute right away, he is gonna be 23 and is very mature and i'm pretty sure he would be ready if we drafted him
