Unfortunately neither is true.

I agree that Goodwin is not an underrated shooter. But regarding 3pt shot, it's improved... Atleast his confidence in taking them has improved. And he will miss 100% of the 3pters he doesn't take.

Suns 2013-2014 season in combination with McD continuous search for talent to sign... Has led to the messy 2014-2015 season.

Had the Suns finish with much less wins than 48 last season.. I think McD would of cleaned house and went with a Timberwolves style rebuild for this season. As in, instructed Hornacek to play the youth heavy minutes from the outset and would of traded some of the vets or atleast rested them.

But 2014-2015 is what it was...

McD needs to stick to the "long term" plan and not panic by signing veterans to Long contracts thinking it'll be enough to topple the West's top 4-5 teams... Suns are not there yet.

He needs to still try to bring in a legit young-ish star.... If not, build up their youth... Bring in a mentor for them to give then knowledge down the line. Bringing in mediocre veterans to steal minutes over the rookies will be a terrible move.

The black holes need to be shipped out, to improve the team-first culture.

Hornacek needs to be told by the FO that his job is secure, so he doesn't go all out trying to secure 8th spot when in all likelihood the team is only as good as the 10th spot. If they finish 8th because of Warren, Goodwin, Len, Knight... Then that's fine. Because it would mean these players are worthy to build around.

Id still try to trade for a stud star player as much as possible. Sacrifice future picks (protected top 3) of need be... I'm looking at you Cousins.

We could trade Bledsoe and sign Goran. Ha!

Pull a Denver.

But Goran would never come back with Knight on the roster.

Use our cap space to bribe Adam Silver into giving us the #1 pick, draft Karl-Anthony Towns, trade the Twins and future picks for Boogie and sign Calipari as our head coach.

Bledsoe/Archie
Knight/Archie
TJ/PJ
Towns/Wright
Boogie/Len

Win all the championships
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

If anybody thinks the Kings are interested in anything the Suns have, look at this quote by George Karl the day the Cousins rumor came out: “Excuses are for losers and we want to be a winner." That does not exactly scream the kind of players the Suns currently have on the roster. Outside of Alex Len (who I would not trade for Cousins anyway), the Suns have no players the Kings would want. If I was them, I would never trade him for players like Bledsoe or the Morris brothers. Why would they want to do that? If Kevin Love could get two number one picks, Demarcus Cousins is going to get at least that.

Wonder which players will take short term contracts so they can renew under a 100m cap.

That could throw up a surprise for teams targetting 4th year rookies like Leonard, Butler, Green, Harris, Kanter, Knight. And of course every other FA.

Suns guard Brandon Knight underwent arthroscopic surgery Friday on the left ankle that sidelined him or most of his time in Phoenix.

Knight injured the ankle March 9 against Golden State and missed 16 of the Suns' final 17 games. He tried a March 29 return but was unable to finish the game because of the ankle.
"It was a minor procedure," Suns president of basketball operations Lon Babby said. "There was an anterior flap (of cartilage) in his ankle that caused irritation. We expect a full recovery."
The Suns staff worked closely with Knight and his agent, Arn Tellem, on plans for the surgery. The procedure was performed by Dr. Richard Ferkel in Los Angeles, where Suns assistant general manager Pat Connelly and Suns performance recovery consultant Adam Annaccone joined Knight.

If Jared Dudley declines his 4.25 million dollar player option, he will be a free agent. Assuming the Suns trade the Morris twins, I would be very interested in the Suns bringing him back. He represents everything the Suns do not have right now. His best years were in Phoenix and I think he might come back for a contract like 3 years/18 million. Start Warren and have Dudley as the backup small forward. Plus he can play backup shooting guard as well. Could be a great addition that adds veteran leadership which everyone knows this team is missing.

Granger was a presence for the Suns late in the season, working out at the facilities, joining shootarounds, sitting on the bench for games and being a part of the locker room.
"I saw a lot of positive things, honestly," Granger said. "The talent here is overwhelming."

Granger bonded quickly with rookie T.J. Warren because they share the same agency, Creative Artists Agency, and have a common relationship with David West, one of Granger's Indiana teammates and Warren's mentor growing up in Durham, N.C. Warren is extremely quiet with most people but was a talker with Granger.
"I think he's going to be a special player," Granger said of Warren. "He really has a knack for the ball. Archie (Goodwin), with his athleticism and his long arms, those are two very promising young players and I think they have really bright futures."
Like potential teammate Brandon Knight, Granger could have gone to Yale based on academics. Intelligence, experience and accomplishment would make Granger an ideal leader, a role he said he is willing to embrace again after doing it as a younger player for Indiana.

Granger also would have to decide whether he wants to be part of a franchise that has missed the playoffs for five consecutive seasons and has a tough climb ahead in the only-improving Western Conference. He also could opt out of his contract in favor of signing with a more established contender.
"But with the success the Suns had last year, at 48 wins, they would've been the 2 or 3 seed in the East, so I don't think the team is necessarily rebuilding," Granger said. "I think it more so needs to add a few pieces here and there. The blueprint is really good. If you add to it, it can be even better."

He said he feels like he can play another four or five seasons until he is 36 or 37, especially after Hill told him he thought his career was over before the Suns staff helped him play until he was 40.
It will all depend on his knee.
"That's basically what it all comes down to in the NBA," Granger said. "Everybody can play. It's just a matter of how healthy are you going to be, how long does your body let you do it?"

I like the idea of bringing Granger back as a vet role. But I hope the FO is looking at Khris Middleton. He can play sf/sg, I think it would be great having him and TJ fighting for the sf spot

Isaiah Thomas looks like an allstar in the East. I said when he got traded he would make the all star team in the East.

Max contracts are easier to get from an East team because a good player can get you in the playoffs EASY.

I hope the Celtics play well vs the Cavs.

But I do find it funny the Suns get a lot of bad stuff said about them in the media because of IT now playing good. He's in the East!!!

Ok I'm done.

It's not like we traded him because he was playing badly, he just didn't fit the squad.

We should have kept Isaiah Thomas. He is hands down better than Bledsoe and had 20 times as much heart and emotion. Hands down the most underrated player in the NBA

Return to Phoenix Suns
