Game 2 will be different. No chance for Raptors to chuck again. I read all Your comments about not playing JJ. Is he so damn good to make the difference?

Spent 2 weekends on star wars gt, for 8 miles, probably 8 hrs. The next gt I make will likely be in 2nd round or perhaps next season.

Yep - everyone who watched Game 1 should have seen that we rarely got any good looks from the perimeter, with the exception of Pat Patterson. Washington played pretty good defence.

On to game 2... Please hit open shots and get the damn rebounds. Lowry, Lou, and DeRozan need to step it up

How do they decide the schedule?

Tor/Was, Hou/Dal get 2 days off before game 2.

Chi/Mil, GS/NO get only 1 day off before game 2.

They could switch it up. I wish our game was in Monday.

Regardless, LET'S GO RAPTORSSSSS!

They beat a Chicago bulls team last year that had NO offense in the playoffs.

Their starting pg was DJ Augustine remember.

I think we bounce back. We got too much firepower.

I think we steal atleast 1 in Washington...possibly both games.

They pretty much played the way we wanted them to play (13 fastbreak points, under 40 FG%/30 3PT%). If we can do that again, clean up the glass (under 10 differential), stay attached to Beal on screens, I think we'll be alright.

its game 1 and we played poorly. Its unfortunate but to act like the series is lost is stupid.

Focus on game 2, get a win and then look to split one of the Washington road games and were back in business. Personally i think home court is overrated, if i was a player i would much rather start out on the road than at home. You can get all the jitters out the 1st game and still have home court to go to.

We lost, its unfortunate but for the most part it was a close game. Wizards didn't close out the 4th well at all and we played without Lowry. Our guard play from our big guys, Derozan, Lowry, Lou was pretty atrocious and you can't expect that to happen the rest of the series.

I think we will be fine. I think we take game 2 and look to take 1 from Washington on the road. Still think we win in 6 or 7.

IF Casey doesn't play JJ in the first half, people should be chanting "FIRE CASEY". It's inexcusable to not play him. He better be in the regular rotation from here on out. I wish I knew someone from MLSE, so I could tell them how Casey is f**king things up :(

Ross liked this on IG. Even he thinks JJ should be playing instead of him

Lowry's a non-factor if he's not playing well. He looks completely different from the beginning of the season.

Series isn't lost, but I thought game 1 was the key game.

This team made it this far almost solely based on offense, so when the shots don't fall what F you gonna do!?

Game two, a few more shots drop, our confidence goes through the roof and KABLAMO, it's a whole new world.

I think yesterday was more of an anomaly than the norm for Lowry. He missed a lot of 3s and just didn't look fluid in the offense. Im not worried about him, its a bad game and i expect a bounce back. Beal waving to him when he fouled out will only fuel that fire.

Game 1 is key for sure but to say that its an indicator of how the rest of the series will be is wrong.

Visitors historically have a .148% of winning of winning game 2 whereas the home team has a .797%. Additionally visitors who win game 1 only win the series .481% of the time.

Assuming I'm reading this correctly lol,

I think theres a long road ahead. You focus on game 2 and then you go to Washington and are happy with a split. Obviously winning both is the goal but to split vs Washington would be huge.

It can be a confusing table to read but you got it mostly right.

NBA Prelim all 59-37 (.615) 72-24 (.750)
NBA Prelim H 55-14 (.797) 59-10 (.855)
NBA Prelim V 4-23 (.148) 13-14 (.481)

Road teams only win Game 2 14.8% of the time after winning Game 1, but the 79.7% you're reading is the chance of the home team winning game 2 if they had already won game 1, subsequently leading to 85.5% probability of winning the series. In other words if Raptors had won yesterday we would be in good shape going forward, but it's far from over.
