Actually, Napier fits the mold Riley looks for in drafts. But it was to appeal to Lebron. If not, he would have been gone when Charlotte initially picked and we wouldn't have traded for him.

Oh just some young, athletic big, contributing on a contender. No biggie.

It's easy to be Monday morning quarterbacking, but right now it's hard to love the Napier pick. Undersized, not athletic, and disappointed with the things I thought were his bread and butter - shooting and IQ.

With that said it's not like there's a bunch of productive guys that got picked after him. As of right now, there's no one really, except Jordan Clarkson but he played for a tanking Lakers team, so still needs to prove he's for real.

Still I admit Clint Capela, Kyle Anderson, Jordan Clarkson, Spencer Dinwiddie and most of all Walter Tavares (European Whiteside) are all players that I would gladly trade him for right now. Based on potential more then proven ability.

Dind , the mostache guy is very good. I think he will be a starter on this league. Kyle anderson are being groomed by the spurs..kid looks good also. The thing is..nappier was on the spotlight for some time..people knew about him..so why didnt they picked him early? Riley did picked in for lebeta..and im more convicned about it everytime he sends some harsh words for lebeta. Anyway, who care now. I really hope we deliver in this draft. Could be game changing. There are alot of good players that can be groomed or that show some potential..we just have to stay patience with them.

It bums me out that we're talking about Napier like he's some sort of mistake child. If he's willing to work hard enough, he might be able to turn himself into an effective undersized PG ala Isaiah Thomas.

Napier deserves more time before we declare him a complete bust. He shot 36% from three last season and showed flashes of being a quality player. At this point, I think he'll be a solid backup to Dragic for the next few years. That's fine with me.

For real, people are acting like they drafted some random unknown scrub just because Bron wanted them to. They forget that he fits the description of the type of player the Heat like to draft -- 4 years of college, smart, tournament/championship experience. I have no problem with him being Dragic's back-up for the foreseeable future.

Lebron is a piece of ****, and I'd love to blame him for everything under the Sun, but it's time for Pat Riley to admit that he duped himself more than Lebron did. He was the one acting like a clingy school girl even though Lebron refused to return his calls or texts. If a guy isn't returning your calls, it's time to start planning your future without him.

Picking Napier is on Pat, not on Lebron. I don't care how much Lebron claimed to love him.

Chasing Danny Granger and Josh McRoberts as a means of improving our roster was a joke ... and a bad one. That's on Pat, not Lebron.

Between the time we released Mike Miller and the time we found Whiteside, our roster did nothing but get worse. That's on Pat.

Our head coach is also on Pat.

Nobody around here dislikes Lebron more than I do, and I get in a "screw Lebron" every chance I get, but it's one thing for fans to do it, and another for Pat to do it. Not only does it accomplish nothing, but it comes off as salty and feeble. If Pat is ticked off at Lebron, the way to get even is to improve our roster and win the championship without him.

problem w/ Napier is he doesn't have the build of Thomas - Thomas is a little tank. but w/ that said Napier doesn't need to be big physically......but to compensate for his physical insufficiency he needs to drain the ball at a consistent rate. If his not hitting those 3's and draining those drives to the rim he is useless out there. THis is all he is really lacking because his assist game can only improve as he sinks those shots that he is supposed to - then he becomes a dangerous back up to Dragic. EVerything hinges offa his shooting......should be his main priority this offseason.
