Lauer was very good. He did those games solo for many years before they added Matt Carroll this past year. Not sure why they would let him go after 11 season. Surely there is more to this story, right?

I can't say I have listened to many other teams on the radio so I really have no basis to compare, but I really liked listening to him. I'd turn on games when I was in the car on the way to the gym or something and really enjoyed his broadcasts, to the point that I'd sit in my car until the next timeout because it was just interesting listening to him.

Strange decision IMO.
