Seems like Rondo is actively trying to PREVENT that from happening. LOL
And by sleepwalking through the Houston series, he's basically taking money out of his own pocket with his impending FA status. JR Smith did that a few years ago (had a career year and then just mailed it in during NY's playoff series), and Lance Stephenson did it last year with his playoff antics.
C'mon guys - at least sign the big new guaranteed contract first!

So the Hawks sold for $850 million, poor NBA owners, losing soooo much money.

That losing money thing was **** even before the new TV deal.
Or, more correctly stated, no NBA team was losing money because of player salaries. Those were fixed costs. They still are. The only way a team lost money was through bad management, spending too much on the operational side of things, or accounting chicanery.

Atlanta has been looking very mortal these first two games.
If they continue to play in the 90s, I don't see why Washington couldn't give them a run for their money.

Damn NBA. I watched both games last night hoping for a road win from either team and they both
kept it close enough to keep me watching before ultimately and predictably failing. Oh well.
I wonder how Mirotic is doing today. He took a beating on that last sequence. He's been really
good for the bulls as opposed to McDermott who has been a non factor (this season).
Green is even better than I thought he would be. He and DeMarre Carroll, and also Jae Crowder, are strong utility players. Guys with superior motor on defense, good strength, and that combined with solid fundamentals on offense.
The revelation is that despite his lack of height, Green is very effective at PF. He and Paul Millsap are both strong and quick. Green is also a very good three point shooter.
Draymond Green might price himself off the Warriors.
Jim, Douglas McBuckets will be good in time.

Without Sefolosha they have some holes in their defense.

I love watching him play. He isn't a bad defender anymore and is making guys work 94 feet.
He basically replaced Parker's production.
Tony Parker looks terrible, the Clippers are defending him like he's a threat but they should pack it in and let him keep bricking shots.

Sefalosha IS a terrific defender, but he played 976 total minutes this season -- about 24% of their minutes. Plus, in their two games so far against Brooklyn, the Nets have managed an offensive rating of 97.5, which is well below their season average for offense, and significantly better than the Hawks' season average on defense.
The Hawks have been pretty meh on OFFENSE in the two playoff games so far. The only Hawks regulars to play well offensively in the playoffs are Korver and Antic.

Why in a post about Leonard winning Defensive Player of the Year is there a Vine showing him making a (great) offensive move?
Hmmmmmm????
