Ollie sounds like he's staying at UConn.

In other news, I wonder how this affects our chances in the KD lottery. Chances he sticks in OKC now?

All for it if it keeps us Gentry. Although I do think Ollie will be an excellent NBA coach.

It is a matter of when, not if we lose Gentry. He will have his choice of high profile jobs as they open up.

We knew when we hired Gentry, and to a lesser degree Ron Adams, that they would be moving on if we were successful.

At this point, our ballboys are going to be head coaches next year just based on being in the proximity of our staff. The good news is that Kerr has no problem employing smart people in his staff, and we should be a prime destination for fired HCs looking to rehab their value.

Does Ron Adams even want to be a head coach tho? He's been an assistant for like 20+ years. I'm thinking money beign the same he's staying put.

Are you basing that on KD? I don't disagree that he might be their choice.

I'm hearing lots of Billy Donovan.

I hope we keep Gentry if at all possible. Don't need him taking that team to New heights. Although Brooks did get them to a Finals appearance.

If I'm KD....I see how next year goes and then I would walk barring some new revelation.

Parsons out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. Ouch! Pretty much looks like Houston's going to sweep the Mavs. Oh well, was hoping that the Mavs would at least extend them. Houston's likely the ones we'll be facing right, once we get past the Pels? I have a feeling that the Clippers are going to surprise most people and take out the Spurs. If they hold the down fort tonight over in LA, I' think their chances will be even more likely.

Appers that Rondo is going to be out for game 3 as well. Mavs might as well just pack their bags already and go home. Poor Monta and Dirk.

We face the winner of Memphis/Portland. Rockets will play the Clips/Spurs winner.

I think Donovan is a better coach than Ollie, but Woj reported Ollie is Presti's top choice.

Both would likely be big upgrades over Brooks so OKC could enter next season as title favorites if everyone is healthy

I think I like that better, especially if Houston's coming in off a sweep and Dwight seemingly rounding back into form. Let the Clips or Spurs deal with that. Hopefully they beat themselves into a tizzy.

Looks like OKC fired Scott Brooks. I guess it's his fault that Durant got hurt and Morey traded Harden and let Parsons walk. OK.

Two thoughts. One, Brooks still sucked. His offense was pretty much as bad as Jackson's in terms of creativity, sex appeal, and efficiency. Two, I think GMs must be better politicians, because they seem to last a lot longer than coaches, and I think they tend to deserve just as much, if not more of the blame. Look at how long Kahn lasted. Atrocious. I think of how much Gary St. Jean was to blame for our failings.

Yeah, I screwed up. I said Morey when it was Presti (kind of hate Morey, lol). And it wasn't Presti who let Parsons walk, that was Morey, lol. A bit of a brain fart there.

The Rockets don't scare me at all. We match up really well with them. Harden so far in the playoffs is 9-28 FG and 28-30 FT. If Klay plays him straight up, he isn't going to get those FT's. Bogut will handle Dwight, Green will handle Smith.

Meh, Rockets, whatever, come get some.

The Rockets are one of maybe 4 or 5 teams that can straight up beat us.

SA fouls Jordan a bunch of times in a row in the 4th - and in the process kills their own offense by eliminating any transition or semi-transition chances and generally getting out of sync. It's why I'm not a big fan of the hack-a-Shaq strategy.

I'm not a big proponent of hack-a-shaq methods, but doing it while you are winning just seems even more asinine.

Never been that interested in Gortat, but after watching him today...Even without scoring, he'd fit way better in the Warriors system. He and Bogut be a nice tag team. 2nd unit could run the same offense.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

I'm a big fan of Zangief. He ticks plenty of boxes for skill sets i like in my C's.

He gets paid big though.
