Mods in some forums do not seem to like old threads being kicked up. Posters (unaware I assume) occasionally do this. Maybe threads that are inactive for a specified period of time could be auto locked?
This would make the mods' job a bit easier and clarify what threads can still be engaged.

Re: Auto lock inactive threads
It depends on the forum and it depends on the reason for the thread necro. Usually, we take issue when a poster brings back a thread to be an ass, right? I suppose we could have threads that are older than two months auto-locked for simplicity, that wouldn't be awful, but not everyone board experiences this as a problem.
