The organization will have absolutely no interest in him. I'm not sure they'd sign him even if the Nets Josh Smithed him.

Danny Ainge owned the Nets. Sadly your owner is nothing more than the Russian Dolan. Lopez is gone. You try and see if Cuban will bite on Deron. Otherwise there are no takers. Well the Lakers reek of desperation along with the Knicks... but Phil isn't a sucker. Better call Jim.

I think you're off base with your Dolan comparison. Dolan is actually around to oversee day to day operations. Prokhorov has been MIA for awhile other than two games last week.

Hehe, I appreciate your sense of humor on it.

im pretty sure he wa being serious

To be fair, it had to do with the Russian economic crisis and political situation. So, it's not like he was taking vacations to Mars all season long. I'm not sure when Dolan has done anything productive n day to day operations or being productive away from it.

And from my end I was simply comparing the results and their similar strategies.

Yeah I know, you currently have people over there so hard up for cash they're drinking rubbing alcohol since they can't afford legitimate booze.

The Nets have to pay some team to take him. So Utah would be the ones receiving picks, not the other way around.

There are actually a few of them. We refer to them as idiots on the Jazz board. :banghead:

After noticing this question here, I checked the Jazz board and was a bit shocked, because it wasn't such a lunatic idea after all, there were a few fans seriously considering adding Deron Williams.

You have a good thing going with Gobert, Favors and Hayward. You really don't need to mess it up by adding a 20 million dollar has been. You keep growing 'organically' without making rash moves.

The only way it would make sense was if the guy wanted to retire there and had been waived by the Nets. That way you could sign him to a transitional starter/mentor/backup type role.

What would he mentor the Jazz players in? Learning how to steal money? Running away from the ball in the 4th qtr? Playing like a coward? Being a defensive sieve?

Deron Williams may never get a job in the NBA again after this.

I cant lie, I feel very foolish backing Deron right now.
He looks finished.

I was really hoping he would step it up.
