Do you want Rondo? At What Price?

Post#1 » by HurricaneKid » Thu Apr 23, 2015 6:45 pm

Rondo's saga has taken some ugly turns of late. As it is clear he is not going to be resigning with Dallas, the team that always comes up is the Lakers. And at some substantial dollars.

Do you want him?

If so, at what cost?

For he record, with the emergence of Clarkson and the return of Kobe I can't think of a worse fit. I don't think his game translates to the current or future NBA. I wouldn't take him at the league min. But I wanted to keep the poll at least somewhat unbiased.

As much as I'm intrigued by him, I'd rather not sign up for the Rajon Rondo experience but if he did throw the game like he did in Dallas in a contract year, either he's stupid to not know better or smart enough to have already completed a hand shake deal with some other team.

At some very low 1 year deal with a team option for the second maybe... if we don't get a guard in the draft.

I think he'd be a terrible fit both on and off the court.

Do you want Rondo? At What Price?

Think about what we paid Lin, ask yourself if you honestly think Lin is better than Rondo, and then pay accordingly...
10m/yr sounds like the basement to me.
Still hope we pass though.

Lin is definitely better than what Rondo has been this year and I think Lin is pretty mediocre.

To be fair, we got a #1 to take Lin. And that was at a 8.3M cap hit. We will get no such benefit in acquiring Rondo.
