Hill isn't bad...
He ain't Kawhi though.

hill was pretty good for the spurs, if i remember.

Still might be one of the biggest heists RC Buford ever made... and that ain't even digging on Hill.

Congratulations to Kawhi! But there is no denying that his defense still got shredded to pieces by this guy:

Is it just me or does Shved's relatively short wingspan actually helps him in these situations when he drives to the rim against Kawhi? Makes it very hard to swipe the ball from him and his defenders will be more often than not get called for a foul when they attempt to do so.

If I am not mistaken, Kawhi and Vucevic were the two guys drafted right before Shump. Depressing.

Great. Add Kawhi to the FML core of Curry and Love. That's a hell of a foundation.

Never would have predicted that Mozgov would be an elite center.

I loved Gallo, but he was the guy I was most pissed about trading. I knew he'd become a good starting center.

Many of us thought he would be a good starting center. Wasnt too hard to see why and he should have became a starter much sooner. He's huge, athletic, plays hard, defends, and has some actual offensive skill. Could have really changed things had we kept him and didnt sign Tyson/amnesty Chauncey, but hey just another Knicks blunder and we're back to looking for another center .

Around the NBA: Playoff Edition Round 1

Post#1208 » by Phish Tank » Thu Apr 23, 2015 11:35 pm

While shump boasted about putting people on 21 shump street during his rookie year, kawhi was minding his business, working on his jump shot, ball handling, and even his defensive awareness.

While shump was mad against the world, growing his hair, getting tattoos, or rapping, kawhi was slowly and quietly improving his game.

This is the same kawhi coming off the bench in his rookie year, not playing major minutes really until his sophomore season. Shump was anointed as a major rotation player at the start.

Fast forward a few years, shump has stayed the same and/or regressed. Kawhi has turned into one of the best players in the game.

This is the importance of work ethic.

I was at that game. Most bizarre game I've ever attended since it was exciting but I wanted the Knicks to lose. A homeless guy in Penn Station wanted to bet me anything that the Knicks would win and I kinda laughed him off. Thank god I didn't take that bet.

Don't forget about Jimmy Butler. I love how he turned off social media and lived in the gym (was it this past summer or last year?). It's impossible to hate hard working players like them. I'll forever like Shump, but it's annoying thinking about what could have been.

Yeah butler too. He gets lost in translation, but he's been playing out of his mind. With his work ethic, I think it will last through the duration of his next contract

This is why nobody should be down if we did end up picking Winslow at 5. By all accounts hes a gym rat and it showed with his improved J this year. I have a lot of faith Justise would be in the same mold as Kawhi/Jimmy. Phil better not get cute with this pick and stick to the script .

But thats for the draft thread. Boston is keeping it close again here. Dont know if they have enough juice to win a game though.

it's water under the bridge, but how could anyone not look at that play against paul pierce where he covered his ass for 2/3rds of the court and stopped him from making a play? i thought he was a keeper from that day on.

Damn these celtics have me rooting for a boston team... Temporarily.

They won't win the series, but I do like their grit and in your facedness. Bunch of nobodies/quasi somebodies giving the media crowned champs the business.

Great effort.

Now to wash the feeling away with some jack and a cold shower.
