To be fair I was slightly upset about the first 2 games play, but this one was comical as I stopped caring.

I know most of you are heart broken, I would have been too if I held any expectations for this game and thank god I didn't, but we should be happy that we've been exposed sooner rather than later. This is a huge red flag that this team is not good enough/never was. I don't put all the blame on Casey, this team just isn't good enough.

MARIO HEZONJA!

Some mocks have him sliding too 8-10 range. We really need to target a draft pick in this range. Some good prospects here that can become real good players with good coaching*.

*Requires us to get a new coach.

Well we're 20th in draft so that ain't happening.

Agreed, Casey may be the worst team in the league, but this team is garbage*

raps can't guard the pick and roll
and their guards can't run the pick and roll

how many times did i yell "stick to gortat!" or "close out on beale"

or "hit amir, hit amir! hit val! hit val!" WTF!! i'm so pissed.

the only good thing about this is year is the raps fans. props to all raps fans for the support.

fulling the acc, filling Jurassic Park, supporting on the road and filling the bars and starting chants in bars.

pat on the back to us fans. we deserve better. whether it's better effort or (imo) a better coach. we deserve better.

even after having thrown in the towel at the all star break (cause we all saw the wheels coming off), i still feel empty right now.

If i have to be forced into watching another Lowry/Vasquez/Lou lineup again after this season i'm going to take a break from this team. It's literally unwatchable when you see them getting exploited on the defensive end.

People point the finger at a player who carried us last year and this year. He wasn't garbage in the last playoffs with one ankle.

How much has the other players contributed? Vasquez, Lou, val, Ross pat, Amir has put up numbers, but his play hasn't been good.

Any who points to lowry as the problem has to look at the big picture.

Our starting lineup needs to be upgraded,no depth/bench, a bad system, horrible coaching.

Is Lowry the one who caused us to get out rebounded too.

Some people on realgm need to stop making threads and start learning about the game

Yes our whole team Is awful, but our "All-star" was also worse than awful. Also he didn't carry us this year, well past December at least..he has been god awful for 4 months (I don't agree with the thread title but they are also not wrong)

Demar getting injured was terrible for Lowry because since then he went into AI mode trying to do too much by himself.

My thoughts from March 28:

I think this board is putting way too much stock into the Raps regular season success against the Wizards, who I'd give the edge in a 7 game series. Not only is Wall the best player on both teams, he's tailor made to shred the Raps biggest weaknesses: perimeter D and overhelping. Gortat is a great pick and roll partner for him, you have Beal and Pierce spreading the floor, and then Nene could become a factor, like he did versus the Bulls last year in the playoffs. Also, if Wittman isn't completely clueless, he'd put Pierce at the 4 for a bit, which could be problematic as well.

Knowing this team - we will win the series 4:3, lose to the hawks 4:0, but casey gets left as the coach because of his "good job" in the first round, lou gets resigned for 5 years /40 mil as hes the 6th maaan, demar gets his chucking on, lowry gets his chucking on and we have another treadmill year next year baby!!

Do people around here really think all the players just suddenly started sucking at the exact same time? It's so obvious that coaching is the biggest issue with this team. Casey's lack of system makes it so hard for these guys to do anything out there. When the other team starts getting tactical, the Raptors have nothing they can rely on. The players can only do the same **** over and over again, because their coach isn't doing his job. You watch the shots the Raptors have to take on offense, and it's amazing how difficult the offense is for each player. Then you watch the way they scarmble on defense, and you wonder what's going on out thee.

Coaching is killing this team and making everyone on the team look extremely bad when they're not this bad.

I'm glad we got the Wiz instead of the Bucks. I was wishing for the Bucks but looking at how the series is going, I rather we get exposed now and Masai makes the necessary changes to the team instead of trying to add quick "fix" because we beat a mediocre Bucks and gets swept by the Cavs.

Also this is on Lowry & Casey. Look at Wittman, he's a terrible coach but he's making adjustment and sticking to the hot players. When we made our run during the 3rd quarter we had DD/Ross/Amir/JV all finally fired up, we were controlling the game. What happened? Casey subbed them all out and run his usual 3 man PG with Lowry/Lou/Vasq which basically kept swinging the momentum because Lowry kept playing Hero ball.

Wittman on the other hand kept playing the hot hand, Wall/Beal/Gortat all played 40+ mins. For the Raptors? Only DD played 40+. Amir was our second best player today, why didn't he play more? He was getting easy buckets off Derozan's assist or offensive put backs. Ross despite having a lackluster offensive game had a decent defensive showing especially in the 3rd when Raptors made their run. DD/Amir/Ross should have played heavier minutes, this game was basically all-or-nothing for the Raps, their season was basically hanging by the thread.
