After the Wizards get bounced in their next series, the story should read how ARROGANT the Wizards became after beating the Raptors.

In his post-game interview, it's interesting to hear Lowry talk about communication needing to get better; I thought this group was tight-knit. Also, he mentions that they shouldn't "scramble" on defence next year.

No way. He actually said that? Is Lowry's interview posted online anywhere yet? That's crazy if he said that because it's more of an indication of Casey losing the players.

I love Lowry but he's guilty of gambling on defense more than anyone else on the team

Man, the way the Raptors are getting destroyed in America right now, you would think they were the Lakers coming off a 3 peat. This team doesn't even have a single Canadian on the roster and yet everyone keeps bringing up "Canada" in everything. A basketball team just got swept by another basketball team. There's quite a bit of arrogance going around. The Raptors have become the biggest laughingstock of the NBA. If this doesn't lead to Masai making drastic changes, starting with the coach, then this guy should be fired. This series may have destroyed everything the city has worked so hard for in terms of earning respect around NBA circles.

the worst thing was casey's tendency to throw his young players under the bus

even after getting swept, he's out there saying JV and Ross have a lot of growing up to do....how dallas needed a vet team to win a championship....almost as if JV and Ross were the reason we failed. as if demar/lowry/lou had nothing to do with it. it always comes down to complaining about lack of vets with this guy.

well guess what - you've got a young roster. develop them. the raptors are not at a stage where they should go all out and sign vet players for a championship run. not even close.

the team is at a stage where they first need to demonstrate internal development and progress. they failed to do that. and much of that has to do with the coach's decision to desperate scratch and claw at winning every regular season game possible by riding his vets and neglecting development of his younger players (JV especially). they paid for that in the playoffs, where they could have used a confident JV out there.

Some gamble plays don't say a heck of a lot about the overall system failing over the course of 86 games.

It seems that Demar uses everything for motivation/fuel, yet it never really translates over. He's still the same player he's been since his first year in the league, just with more PT and USG%. Also, what happened to him using Pierce's comments as motivation? That worked out real well.

He's always saying things like this yet has been unable to even shoot the three in the mid 30s%

Man, even Hero is after DD. It's over for him.

That was very difficult to listen to. Such a coward. Statistically we had the largest offensive collapse in the playoffs and our offense barely has anything to do with JV, and very little to do with Ross. Defensively we sucked too but even he said after the 2nd (?) game that JV wasn't the problem defensively. The TEAM played horribly. To point at youth at all, no matter who you're referring to, is such bull in this case.

I was referring to Lowry saying they should scramble less. Essentially saying, "We need to get rid of this defensive system."

Especially in regards to "changing the culture" of this team, and the gains we made towards doing that last year, and in the 1st half of this season - it seems like this series was a regression back to the old Raptors we all know too well.

Yup, was thinking the same thing watching the TNT feed, especially the half-time show. Jokes all around as to how pathetic this franchise is; Lowry getting the brunt of it, obviously.

Somebody please tell me this is photoshopped. No way this imbecile wore his championship ring to the post game podium. What a desperation move, so classless too. Forever an assistant coach. HE HAS TO GO THIS OFF-SEASON, or Masai is just collecting them cheques like Phil Jackson in NY.
