I have this huge, huge fear that Casey will be back next year.

This team doesn't even have a single Canadian on the roster and yet everyone keeps bringing up "Canada" in everything. A basketball team just got swept by another basketball team. There's quite a bit of arrogance going around. The Raptors have become the biggest laughingstock of the NBA. If this doesn't lead to Masai making drastic changes, starting with the coach, then this guy should be fired. This series may have destroyed everything the city has worked so hard for in terms of earning respect around NBA circles.

The Raptors credibility is pretty much shot, having the all star game next year means nothing we will still be a laughing stock might as well tank. Idgaf about the all star game rebuild the right way for once.

This situation reminds me of the Alan Anderson situation way too much. Casey came in and overplayed Alan Anderson when the Raptors were supposed to be developing their young players. Anderson found himself a nice contract. Lou seems pretty satisfied since Casey just helped him get himself a nice new contract too.

I hope this guy never plays for this team again, unless they bring in a coach who can reign him in.

Somebody please tell me this is photoshopped. No way this imbecile wore his championship ring to the post game podium. What a desperation move, so classless too. Forever an assistant coach. HE HAS TO GO THIS OFF-SEASON, or Masai is just collecting them cheques like Phil Jackson in NY.
its not photoshopped saw it live

Yup I was laughing like crazy when I was watching it..makes me think something larger is going on in the locker-room that we are not aware of...this is just too weird/classless..I think Casey is emotionally hurt for whatever reason.

I have never been more of a Lebron James fan then right now. He needs to beat the Bulls and beat Pierce in these playoffs in order for us to get Thibodeau and beating PIerce just to deny him once again.

Casey again says, "I don't think someone dominated us, I wouldn't use that word."

Lou wasn't even here last year when the team was actually building something positive. What the hell is he talking about?

If you listened to him, it was basically him saving his own ass. He was basically sending out his resume to all the other teams out there on live TV.

KP730 wrote:the worst thing was casey's tendency to throw his young players under the bus

even after getting swept, he's out there saying JV and Ross have a lot of growing up to do....how dallas needed a vet team to win a championship....almost as if JV and Ross were the reason we failed. as if demar/lowry/lou had nothing to do with it. it always comes down to complaining about lack of vets with this guy.

well guess what - you've got a young roster. develop them. the raptors are not at a stage where they should go all out and sign vet players for a championship run. not even close.

the team is at a stage where they first need to demonstrate internal development and progress. they failed to do that. and much of that has to do with the coach's decision to desperate scratch and claw at winning every regular season game possible by riding his vets and neglecting development of his younger players (JV especially). they paid for that in the playoffs, where they could have used a confident JV out there.

It's funny how he doesn't play his young players, or teach them anything, yet somehow still manages to blame them for everything too.

The Raptors need to be ridiculed as much as possible, hopefully it leads to drastic changes.. Aka blowing it up and not going the Bc route..
