In 2009 Barcelona won La Liga, the Copa Del Rey, Supercopa de Espana, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and the Champions League. So, I would probably give it to that squad (although it's 2 different squads).

The 2009 Super Cup Barcelona team may be the best team of all time.

GK: Valdes

D: Dani Alves, Puyol, Pique, Abidal

M: Xavi, Keita, Toure

F: Messi, Ibrahimovic, Henry

Messi, Ibrahimovic, Henry makes Suarez, Messi, Neymar; Hazard, Costa, Oscar; Ronaldo, Bale, Benzema, etc. look mediocre.

Meh, the Ibra experiment didn't really work. Didn't gel well with the team, and we lost the semis of the Champs league. Edit: just saw you said on paper. Yeah pretty stacked on paper.

Real earlier in the decade were pretty stacked on paper too. So many legends

For me:
98 Netherlands, 04 Arsenal and 09 Barcelona were the best teams.

I know that for some people it seems like Netherlands doesn't belong but I was very impressed with the 98 and 00 campaigns (I've gone with 98 but could have been 00).

I think 00's inclusion would be much easier to justify. They were waltzing through the tournament and got knocked out in almost comically unlucky fashion. Whereas in 98 they had legitimate difficulty and weren't particularly impressive.

Fair enough. I still think Netherlands played better than Brazil. At least that's how I remember the game, I didn't see it again and it's been so many years... I also felt they were amazing against Argentina, despite only winning 2-1.

I remember the elimination in 2000. Missing two penalties and playing against 9... lol.

Galatasaray beat that Arsenal when they were at their best at Copenhagen.

That was a really talented Gala squad, from what I remember. Sukur, Hagi, Popescu and Taffarel. Some quality players.

I still remember Vieira's penalty blasting off the bar.

Great on paper, but they played very defensive Scolari-football. They were lucky that Seaman and Kahn made some horrible mistakes and IIRC Turkey and Belgium played them close in the Knock out stages as well.

Belgium had a perfectly legal goal chalked off as well.

That's all I remember from that World Cup  Oh man...

On paper maybe but they didn't work out well at all.
