Smells like a giant FU to Barcelona and Xavi Pascual. Can't say I'm surprised, they tried to deliberately hurt his draft stock in the second part of the season, glad to see him declare nonetheless.

It's official now. AFAIK, Mario has no intention of returning back to Barcelona, he will stay in the NBA once drafted.

Good. Pascual is a basic bitch.
"All these guys who run these organizations who talk about analytics, they have one thing in common: They're a bunch of guys who ain't never played the game, they never got the girls in high school, and they just want to get in the game."

I have to agree Pascual is a mediocre coach, but I don't think Pascual's the reason why Mario didn't play and why he had restricted minutes. I think Barcelona's sports director (GM) decided that, I've read an interview a month ago where Barcelona's GM says they will give Mario less opportunity because he's going to the NBA and they will rather focus on the players that will stay in Barcelona next year.

If theres a superstar " in the making " on this draft his mario hezonja. And i think hes ready to contribute right away. Barça coach is a dummy and spanish clubs do this all the time. They try to hide their young stars so they dont go to the NBA. I would i love for the heat to draft him..

That Attitude slide was funny. His development could really be impacted by what kind of a locker room situation he runs into.

I'd imagine being in a locker room where the club won't play you out of spite... yeah that could be an issue that leads to attitude.

Besides, all the best players have some level of attitude/arrogance. I wouldn't hold against given his situation.

That seemed to be the case with Reggie Jackson last season. OKC black balled him, replaced his role on the team and let him rot. Then, let the players and media kill his reputation before shipping him to Detroit, where he was a model player, played exceptional basketball and quickly became the voice of the team.

About half of our board is sporting Hezonja signatures. He'll be hard pressed to find a team he fits better on than in Charlotte. I hope our GM is prepared to do what it takes to trade up for him.

I'm hoping that Orlando takes him at five if we don't get lucky in the lottery.

To me he's a decent athlete, not a great one like everyone says. He can jump but he's kinda stiff in the air, not acrobatic. This means it's going to be hard for him to go around shot blockers while in the air.

He seems to me like a project: an athlete with size and can shoot the 3. With that, I'd rather take Oubre. In fact I think Winslow, Johnson, Oubre are better prospects. Maybe even some other wings. I'm not impressed.

I agree. I don't see this amazing prospect when I watch him, I don't know...

I don't know how can anyone think that Oubre and Johnson are better prospects.

My thoughts exactly. Put them both on this years Barcelona and they don't even leave the bench.

Tonight 5 teams scouted Hezonja. Celtic, Magic, Pistons, Heat and Lakers. Pat Riley and Stan Van Gundy were there. Few days ago Flip Sunders watched Hezonja
