JR is not hood by any way or means, he's just incredibly poor at decision making.

Neither is Matt Barnes for whoever mentioned him as well. He grew up in Sacramento county. Nothing but cows and Caucasians over there.

I thought he was from Fresno but his dad was a dope dealer though.

When's the last time you were in Sacramento? Or California for that matter?... Nothing but Caucasians in Sac? Maybe if you consider People from North of Mexico City, Caucasian...

Deep if you ever heard his old coach or mom talk, you would see that he wasn't in the hood growing up. He got into it as a player actually. That's why I think its silly to even have the college one year rule as college didn't mature him. He was sheltered as a high schooler and teen. Money corrupted him as he wanted to party and do the things he wasn't allowed to do as a teen so he wouldn't get into this type of trouble.

He is not jr smith or Matt Barnes who came from the actual hood and admit it, and its kinda ironic because despite their ups and downs actually having grown up in the hood gives them the common sense to draw a line and stay in the league so they don't go back

So this guy decided to join a gang AFTER earning millions of dollars? Outside of cartels and the mafia, I've never heard of that. This whole time I thought he grew up in the hood and just couldn't get away from that life.

Yeah it was said he joined after being drafted and signing with the lakers. He wasn't a thug growing up or gang member, which is why when they interviewed his mom and his coach growing up they had a really wtf did we do wrong look. The gangbanger even said on anomaly Crittenton was fascinated by their power and lifestyle.
