By the time Ernie retires this guy might be old enough to be a GM.

#FireErnie ~ Because he believed Stephen Curry couldn't help us and Jan Vesely could.

Hey FAH, this must have been a tough past week for you...given that you're rooting for the Zards to lose to the Raptors. :D

He clowned JVes after the last game, pointing out that JVes was talking about starting Temple over Beal :o . He got hands not long ago about Porter's playing time. Hands was fine with Porter's lack of time.

I think we are a bad influence on him.

Sure did. And I know exactly how many wins I predicted. But I'll let you do that research since you seem to be concerned about it. :)

That's not too bad, I'm sure his peers rank him somewhere between 14 and 30.

Great lock room material for the Wizards.

Team still not getting enough respect.

I'm sure SAS is enjoying this list as well.

The Spurs were largely riding on the team they had from last year, so it's not really a surprise that they wouldn't be on the list.

Grunfeld resigned Gortat and Gooden, signed Pierce, acquired Humphries and Blair, traded for Sessions during the season, made good use of TPEs and cap space. Not great, and not without flaws, but pretty good. Maybe it's just by comparison to his past that it seems as good as it does to me, or maybe it will just take time for a changed Grunfeld to earn respect. Or maybe everything will revert to the norm in a year or two and everyone will say, "Told ya so."

Randy Foye + Mike Miller Or Steph Curry?

Post#1538 » by Chocolate City Jordanaire » Tue May 5, 2015 1:03 pm

(GOOD THING WE HAVE JOHN WALL)

CONGRATS TO STEPH CURRY, NBA MVP

Milellie111, a "great GM" once traded the 5th pick (no-brainer Steph Curry I thought back then) for ONE YEAR EACH of Randy Foye and Mike Miller.

The Wizards won 26 games.

The Warriors selected Steph Curry.

When you post Grunfeld is a great GM, I say that perhaps he's had a good 2014 (great would mean he kept Jordan Clarkson). If Washington wins this series against Atlanta, I will be HAPPY FOR EG AND WITTMAN.

God blessed the Wizards with the top pick who is John Wall. Maybe when/if the Wizards have 60 wins, John can be MVP.

I am very happy with how things worked out so far...

But t remember posting draft Seth Curry and Dejuan Blair years ago.

I hope for a Curry vs Wall showdown in the Finals....this year or next or whenever.

John Wall is a terrific player, one of the top PGs in the league. Is he in Steph Curry's class as an NBA player? No. And we do him no service to try to claim otherwise. It's not like Curry being *more* makes Wall be *less.*

This thread is NOT intended to make comparisons.

"I am only responsible for what I said, not what you understand."

My purpose was to give milellie111 a counterview.

I have thought if the Wizards had drafted Curry, would he be this good? No way they would have drafted Wall. Things are looking good now...but EG is lucky to be GM in my opinion.

Payitforward, I put the Wall disclaimer up because a lot of posters read into things, start spurious and fractious arguments, etc. It's like they cannot discuss the absurdity of Foye and Mike Miller for someone who we KNEW would be good. Like Neil Everett, no way did I foresee Curry being the MVP.

I just knew on that draft night Ernie screwed up big time.

Milellie111, the past is the past.

I am PUMPED for this game. Ernie and Wittman have a very cohesive, tough bunch of players. I am not mad. Just hope that you have empathy for those who think you are trolling.
