George Lucas de Paula, 6'6 Brazilian PG with a 7' wingspan. He's a total project player that I think would be cool to take with our 2nd round pick (maybe a team like Philly takes him near the end of the 1st round just because of his physical attributes) but he has a nice name

is he more Wroten or Darius Morris ?
experience with Morris make me really worried about tall and athletic pg, including Clarkson at first.

Wroten is more of a combo guard right? This kid definitely seems more like a pass first PG (so I guess he's more like Morris

If we fall outside of the top 3 I think we definitely need to make a deal to secure Russell. He seems to be the heir apparent to Kobe and is the type of player that will thrive under the current rules of the NBA.

Does anyone think that RHJ has Bruce Bowen potential? I mean, hopefully he isn't dirty but I'd be fine if it were only in games against opponents instead of during practice....
On Harden being MVP of this season ( I don't even like Harden much)

Ever.

I love RHJ. I think he can be a starting SF for a long time. Someone you can pencil in every night and get good production out of and he'll lock down a spot.
Chris Walker in the second round anyone? 2 years ago, he was a Top 10 pick if he could have came out of High School. Now, possibly undrafted. I see a lot of Florida Gators games, and this is one of Billy Donovan's ultimate fails, IMO. Yes, he had academic issues, yes he struggled at times with the mental aspect of the game, but to play guys like Jon Horford and Jacob Kurtz more minutes.. Made no sense at all.

He has a terrible work ethic. Some guys are just freak athletes and nothing more.

You're 100% right. He has a lot to work on.. doubt he does. If he does, he could be a steal.

how about Robert Upshaw ? Great defensive instinct, can score on the post a little, nice size..
dont really care about his attitude wise... especially when its really low pick.. maybe we can mold him

anyone see any potential Draymond Green like players in this draft? Not worried about the offensive initially but would like to get a wing like Green who's capable of guarding 1-4.

I'd take Upshaw in the 30s, that's about it. Giving him a guaranteed contract would be irresponsible knowing his track record.

I'd pass on him. Even in the 30's you can find actual contributors.

I think his competition has been too poor (Lucas that is) to be able to judge how well he will translate. He's bigger and longer than both Wroten and Morris though.

Funny thing is, I was watching Green's scouting report from DX and they projected him to be a poor defender who wouldn't be quick enough to stay in front of wings. I think Green is a great example of how IQ, timing, and anticipation makes a great defender. Of course having elite physical attributes (like his length) helps as well.

Re: Official 14-15 NCAA/Draft Discussion Thread [ft. TyCobb]
I just watched highlights from Russel and Clarkson today and to be honest i was not impressed with Russel. As a shooter he is much better than Clarkson from 3 but as far as overall play making and aggressiveness i give the advantage to Clarkson. Also Clarkson was playing NBA and Russel was playing in the Big 10. I understand that Clarkson is several years older than Russell and I'm not saying he can't develop into a good player but I see more seth curry in him than i see steph curry. I would use not use our pick on him.

My thoughts exactly. With a first round pick, there's just too much risk to have a guaranteed contract involved. IF he's on the board at 34, I'd seriously consider taking him though.

Wow. Kentucky was really relying on him coming. They won't be that good.

Well I want either Winslow+Upshaw or Towns+J.Anderson from this draft hopefully the latter.
