He wasn't even looking when he did it.

you are talking about the Giannis play. But what about the punch to MCW's throat?

Perkins didn't punch anyone. Stop making things up.

Perkins did extend his arms with the screen, but I think he's referring to the B1tch slap he threw when being separated....both guys are douchebags.

He didn't even slap him. He index fingered Crowder in the cheek. At least that the most accurately way to describe what occurred.

What Perkins did wasn't "fine" to most fans. It was the NBA that decided all he needed was a fine. I remember a lot of people arguing he deserved some kind of suspension.

Now if the NBA comes out and suspends Dunleavey you might have a complaint. But since there hasn't been a peep about it I'm guessing nothing will happen.

So it's been 24 hours, no response from the NBA. Is it safe to assume Dunleavy isn't getting suspended/fined?

Something about Giannis tells me that the kid is a stealth meathead, and probably always will be. Being young is not an excuse for playing rugby rules basketball, man. The only excuse for that is being born stupid. Luckily for Giannis, meatheads can still become superstars (and commentators on Inside the NBA!), so all is not lost no matter how dumb the kid ends up being.

Was Dunleavy's hit to MCWs jaw any worse than the hit that Perkins put on Crowder?

Perkins did not get a suspension for this. He put his forearm up into Crowder's jaw/neck.

Usually I would crap all over a guy for something like this, but it was Dunleavy. As a Pacer fan I had the displeasure of watching him for a long while. He's a sneaky little bitch.

I just wish he had hit him harder. Dude has it coming x10.

That was a fun time.

It should be all good now, right? I still love Milwaukee. It's my favorite Chicago suburb.

Hey, congratulations on the victory of the group of dudes you identify with due to arbitrary geographical circumstances.

And by all means, please do act like you had something to do with it.

I think the difference is that Dunleavy did it 3 times in the same game. I think it would be strange if dunleavy didn't get a fine or suspension considering he has a history of this type of stuff too

Yeah man, all he did was forcefully extend his closed fist forward into a person.

Dunleavy was involved in 3 incidents, but in no way were all 3 the same thing. The 2nd shot on MCW & the one on Giannis are flagrant 1s at best.

I'm not saying what Dunleavy did was ok. It wasn't. But, the NBA gave some pretty weak penalties to Smith & Olynyk, and in comparison, i think this Dunleavy jab is no where near as bad as those 2 acts.

I agree Olynyk's suspension is weak, but I think JR's makes sense considering he was ejected that game, and then suspended for two.

At the end of the day, Dunleavy's shots were flagrant 2's (unnecessary contact at the head or neck area) that went completely uncalled. If he had been ejected for the game, I don't think a suspension would be warranted. But they didn't even call a common foul or review it, because the refs didn't see it. I think he should get a one game suspension since he wasn't ejected in game.

It's no worse no...but Perk should have been tossed from the game and suspended an additional game. I know he wasn't but he absolutely should have been.

Agreed 100%, but the NBA has set a precedent here, which is why i will be surprised if Dunleavy gets a game. I'm assuming they will be consistent. Perhaps i shouldn't.

lol punched hard enough to chip multiple teeth while trying to put up a layup.

trash trash trash trash trash.

if the refs kick him out - there is no consequent fouls. everything is 100% on the refs for letting him be a bum all game and try and injure people.

Now the news has come out that all Dunleavy will receive for his efforts is a Flagrant One, and no suspension. Good job NBA! The precedent you're setting is that players will not be punished if they can get away with cheap shots, but the moment the other team retaliates, it will be an ejection and suspension (I'm pretty sure Giannis will be getting a suspension, even though he retaliated rather than instigated this situation. So awful.
