Well still no ILB.

Its funny to see everyone else start to get skeptical about TT after the first 3 rounds, when I was already skeptical after just one round. Nice to see people coming to my side. I dont hate the picks in a vacuum, I like that they are great athletes and ball skill guys, but they will mostly play special teams which is what, 10 plays a game? Ha.

Also, what in the world are they planning to do with Hyde? He's a nice player and a good returner, so naturally they draft two CB/S hybrids and a returner.

Enjoy getting run over in the middle of the defense by AP, and Lynch for the 5th year in a row. You know its bad when people are trying to rationalize the draft by saying Joe Thomas and Carl Bradford will be fine at ILB.

Maybe we'll use our 4th to trade for M. Kendricks (who am I kidding). I'm expecting DL and OL.

The problem with your sky is falling analysis is that Super Bowls are not won on draft weekend. There is a reason the Packers are picking 30th in every round and the teams picking the players you want are picking in the top 10. I think that very few people would disagree that picking a LB in the first round would have been a reach. The LBs worth taking in the 2nd round weren't there when we can pick and we didn't answer the phones to find out if we could have moved up to get a Perryman or a Kendricks. The only move that I flat out don't agree with is passing on Dawson to get Montgomery, but even then I don't have a problem with Montgomery as a player, and I think that the fact that Dawson even fell that far says as much as you need to know since we were not the only team with need at middle linebacker passing on him.

With the DBs we drafted (cover guys, seem to fly around the field), maybe we just need a thumper or two at ILB, so ILBs who can cover aren't really high on our priority list. Thoughts?

We'll hopefully with the NTs on the roster we won't need a two down ILB.

I dunno, maybe im freaking out for no reason, but it seems every good 34 defense I can think of has 4 very good if not great LBs.

players i still like on the board
CB: Ekpre-Olomu / Coleman / Gaines / Diggs / Glenn
S: Smith / Amos / Holliman / Claiborne
LB: Alexander /Wilson / Ryan / Jones / Fua / Heeney / Hull / Rush / Mount / Hodges / Hager
DL: Bennett / Wright / Flowers / Lott / Smith / Chickillo / Trinca-Pasat / McCarthy / Mbu / Riddick
OL: Clemmings / Jackson / Thompson / Mason / Douglas / Sheperd / Kouandjio
TE: Bell / O'Leary / Pruitt / Koyack / James / Saxton
WR: Diggs / McBride / Bell / Lippett / Hardy / Hill
RB: Ajayi / Cobb / Langford / Artis-Payne / Crockett / Hunt / Brown
QB: Petty / Fajardo / Carden / Bridge

If 1 of Ekpre-Olomu or Bennet fall to us in 4th round i say run with it (i would be ecstatic if we could get Ekpre-Olomu or Bennet)

Honesty that's all i want. A 2 down thumper someone who can hit like a Desmond bishop. On 3rd down we pay a lot of money to rush the passer. Clay peppers daniel neal perry. And we have invested a lot on our secondary so thats how we roll on 3rd down with our fast and ton of db draft picks.

I think Jake Ryan is the guy most of you would then want. Him or Taiwan . I imagine we take a few backers today. Also would mind a stout POA space eater.

He's short, he's slow, he turns the ball over, and he has zero WR upside at the pro level. He's terrible.

Costigan isn't planning on playing pro football. From what I understand his body was pretty wrecked by injuries and it was an incredible effort that he managed to gut out his senior season at UW.

Return to Green Bay Packers
