I'd have preferred to trade down and get two first-round picks. But White's been very good - and at least gives the offense a boost.

That said... the 3-4 is lookin' like a half-baked hot mess.

Hopefully it shores up the WR spot. After last year I can't get too excited, but at least Pace didn't get cute and draft Shea Mcclellin

This pick really makes Pace look smart for dealing BM. We get younger and cleared his $10 million off our cap

I like his personality. A bit of risk so high, but his upside justify's the pick, and Cooper was gone, and the Bearstook the BPA. All you can ask. The Bears offense was no better than the defense really, so I can't say they went the wrong side of the ball either

I've been lamenting that pick from day 1. Don't get me started. Pace has backed up his reputation as a BPA guy so far, and I feel relief more than anything with the White pick. For a split second I thought the were gonna take Shelton....the Bears being the Bears.

dangerous speed opposite Alshon. Start training Wilson in the slot, and all we need is a quarterback to read the defense and throw darts. Big question if Cutler can deliver.

I guess this means Bennet is gone

I heard he compares to Julio Jones. Hopefully it works out.

Welcome to Chicago!

I was rooting for Williams to slip to 7, but I'm fine with White there. At least right now, he was the best player available. Should be a great complilment long-term for Alshon. I can see White being more of a possession receiver and YAC guy.

No disrespect with this, he sort of reminds me of a Michael Floyd. Notwithstanding his actual NFL career

White has more YAC dimension on top

Wanted Williams white and Beasley to all be there at 7. Almost happened. Wonder if pace would have gone Williams over white.

I like white. Think he will be Dez Bryant 2.0 w out the baggage. Think our offense will be similar to Peyton's not just pound the ground game.

I was so pissed when the Jets took him.

Just think, if we don't trade them Marshall, they probably take White and we could have had Leonard. Oh well.

In the end, I was okay with White, considering he was likely BPA. Tomorrow will be interesting...I'm still wondering if Pace will take a QB in the 3rd round where one of Grayson and Hundley might be there.

When the Jets were on the clock Pace had to be leaning back in his chair with his hands locked behind his head with a huge grin. Williams or White. Couldn't ask for anything better at #7. Thank you Washington.

No doubt there are Kevin White articles all over right now. Here's one from the Trib I thought was pretty good, mostly on his background:

Bears top pick Kevin White getting his show on road at last

note - if the link takes you to a "premium members only" type article, just copy the title into a google search and then you can view it via google
TGibson (1/28/17); "..."a 4 or 5 on a scale of 1 to 10 for drama"...What's the worst? "...yelling matches with Thibs, everybody is just going crazy and I'm just sitting there...like, 'Don't call my name please..."
