In game six, the Grizzlies find themselves with their backs against the wall. Unable to keep the 23-10 lead they developed in the first quarter, they allowed the Warriors to score in a flurry to take the lead at the end of the first on a Stephen Curry three pointer to take the lead permanently in the game. The absence of Tony Allen was felt as Klay Thompson got free of his defensive shackles. Now TA is said to play in a pivotal game 6. How healthy he will be will be crucial for the Grizzlies. How the Grizzlies come out fighting will determine if they want to win this game to push it to game seven. Otherwise, it's all in or stay home for the season.

1. Draymond Green and Harrison Barnes have set the tone for the Warriors offense in the last two games. It's time to get them into foul trouble to disrupt the Warriors tone early and often.

2. Utilize the pick and roll against them as they seem to not defend it well.

3. When GaZbo get double teamed, someone will be open. Meaning they need to slash to the bucket to either score or force a defender to foul, or do a stop and pop to get the defense to respect it to where the post can open up for the bigs down low.

4. Win the battle of the boards and box out. Throw some bows if necessary.

5. Force the Splash Brothers put the ball down and test their slashing ability.

61-52 in the half with the Warriors leading. Grizzlies has some fight in them, but they will have to do a better job defending the perimeter game and better one on one defense.

Getting crushed right now. Not getting to the loose balls and Calathes is afraid to shoot.

Randolph has been great scoring the ball. His jumpers are connecting and he is getting boards. Allen is himself defensively. PG is a huge hole right now and Jeff Green is nonexistent.

The guys are talkin to Calathes now to be more aggressive. He needs to calm down and get his head straight.

Jeff has got to step up big in this series. He needs to become the X-Factor for the Grizz to stand somewhat of a chance. Also the off rebounds have been a problem in this game. Need to do a better job boxing out.

No one can say anything about Tony Allen. He has been great in this game one both offensively and defensively.

Here's what we learn today.

TA was on his game no doubt. Slow down KT some in-spite of the score. Continue that aggressiveness TA.
Our frontcourt combined for 41pts 18rebs, 8 dimes and 3 stls. Good job!
Going 3-12 from 3 is not going to help the Grizz chances to win games.
Getting both Bogut and D.Green in foul trouble is a plus.
Missing Conley hurts a bit.
The Warriors can't defend the cutters going to the post. Exploit that scenario.
Calathes obviously is not quick enough to keep in pursuit of Curry. Also don't help when your starting PG freezes up. Get aggressive!
Grizzlies need to do a better job boxing out for rebounds.
Jeff Green needs to become the X-Factor in this series.
Better job is require with the man to man defense.
Create better mismatches against Curry and KT. Make them work for their shots.

Nice post, Ive learned a thing or two as well.

Our chances to beat the Warriors are slim as none if we dont defend the three point line properly. I believe they shot like 25 threepointers in the game. Despite the high %, most of them were not contested at all. I would give up the second chance points and run back to defend as hell the moment we shot. Anyway, they are doing a great job rebounding in defense. Have you guys notice that lately Zbo is not getting zboards? There was a time when Zbo used to scoop in plenty balls. So why would we keep trying. run back guys!

Regarding the offensive end, we need a hero. I am talking about a guy steping up like Udrih did in the G1 against the Blazers. That should be Lee or Green. About Calathes, what can I say? He doesnt look like a NBA player at all and then, consider he is playing with the MVP. When is beno going to be fully healed? Cant we use C.Lee at PG some time?

Last thing I have learned, It is not the same losing with GSW than losing to OKC or the Clippers. You dont get to hate the Warriors.

I hope Mr Joerger adjust and we get to scare slightly more in G2.

Re. Z-Bo's rebounding, it makes it tough to get offensive rebounds when he's guarding Draymond Green and getting pulled out to the three point line.

It's a case of pick your poison. It's the clear theme for this series. You can only assume whatever the poison you choose kills you slow. Otherwise, if the other poison kills you quicker, you're dead in the water.

Allen's odd thing was a funny sideshow.. and overall.. being booed big may have been something that accounts for him really having a pretty sold game. In the known universe... the Allen -Calathes duo can play vey good D but the Curry-Klay duo out scores them by a ton. Gasol and Zach will tend to score about 20..each... but to take down GSW on THEIR floor.. at least one of them has to rack up 30+ against a 4-5 combo (Green-Bogut) that are VERY good on D. Then....Kerr does a 10 deep rotation and that's been money. GSW had games where "empty the bench" blew a lead vs regular/rotation guys... and Kerr does not NEED to win by 20.. so..no big deal. In game 1... Bogut and Green got foul trouble. Speights and Ezeli and Lee... did fine.

Here's the deal.....GSW is a MONSTER at home..and nobody can advance as log as GSW sweeps at home. If the Griz can win game 2 at GSW... then they have a legit threat going. That's like beating USAIN BOLT in a sprint... possible but RARE. The Griz then need to win game 3... whether they take #2 ot not. If the Griz are 0-3... forget it. Underdogs do not win 4 in a row when they are down 0-3. I doubt Conley can be 100% in time. Even if he can..I doubt it is enough. I thought the Griz were really THE West team able to scare GSW. My opinion now is they can stretch it out.. but will not get the essential road win.

Dray Green is a odd case. He can have a game with "only" 12 pt... but he also got 10 boards, 7 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks.. played great D set screens and picks and just did stuff you got no plans for. Curry may be MVP PG.. but as often.. Green is leading the fast break. He is eveywhere. Inside.. outside. VERY active. Dray can have a game where he only got 7 pt and he Still is a big reason GSW wins. If you think you can beat up Curry... Dray will fck you up. He will cuss out the coach... he will talk crap to anyone.... get in their head..will btch at team-mates and it's okay. It all works. Dray is a guy you want on your side in a war. Curry/Klay raining 3's.. scoring in bursts.. is big.. but DRAY ... takes GSW to another level. Marc and Zach are STARS.. but they can't MOVE with Dray.

Grizz started off solid. Kinda finished struggling to score in the last couple of minutes as the Warriors found some motivation for a decent run. Need to do a better job closing out on defense.

50-39 at the half with the Grizzlies leading. The man to man defense is holding up well. Just keep it up. Z-Bo and Gasol are playing solid, but have fouls to contend with. They will have to be careful on the other side of the half. GSW may look to exploit it. MC11 back in the starting lineup maybe playing a role into the Grizz confidence. KT is struggling from the field. Keep it that way. Keep the Splash Bros off the perimeter and force them to slash more.
